LEGO Racers 2
Racers, start your engines! LEGO Racers 2 picks up where LEGO Racers left off--a defeated Rocket Racer has gone away to practice his racing skills on planet Xalax. There, he meets the Ramas, car-crazy creatures that race all over the planet and even have a huge racing arena called the Dome. Not wanting to accept his defeat, Rocket Racer issues a new race challenge and summons the greatest racers of all time to the Ramas's dome for the Galactic Racing Championship! You must prove your driving skills in four different worlds to qualify for the ultimate race on planet Xalax. Play through new features as you race your way to the championship. Just as in the original LEGO Racers, you've got to build your racer and minifigure driver first. Once behind the wheel, you'll notice the improved destructability, as cars and scenery break into individual LEGO bricks on impact. You can regain your bricks during a pit stop, but don't lose 'em all, otherwise you've got to hoof it to the pit. The game lets you explore the Life on Mars, Adventurers: Dino Island, Arctic, and City Center LEGO worlds. Each has a "boss" racer that drives a vehicle unique to that world, and you've got to beat the boss before advancing. Realistic weather conditions add to the excitement. Twenty-four new tracks combine to form a network of roads--some with movable barriers that form different courses. An improved power-up system helps racers and an all-new Golden Brick system awards you when you win. You can also pick Golden Bricks up along the course; collect enough and you'll advance to the next world, where you'll access new bonus levels.

LEGO Racers 2 Reviews
So it was logical to make a game. Good gameplay. Lego has made all types of games and racing is one of the areas. Creating characters and cars is appropriate because it is lego. Exploring is a good factor for improving your vehicle by completing the challenges and helps you get more golden bricks. Driving may be tricky at first, but the key is to know that the analog stick is sensitive, so don't pull hard turns, or you will pull the brakes and you will end up backwards. I reccomend the game for the younger audience and hardcore lego fans.
The three out of five lego worlds are based off regular sets. The latest sets are Mars Mission. Sandy Bay would be Lego City, Dino Island would be for Johnny Thunder, whom appears in the game, Mars is a big one for Lego sets. They made a story and they allowed the character to explore the lego world. Lego has made many lego racers or cars for the past couple of years. They also even added avanced moves for powerups.
Good luck trying to control your vehicle. What makes this game even worse is the fact that it really wants to be a Mario Kart game. I really want you to avoid this game. This game continues to get worse the more I play it. Almost every night, I sit here and wonder why we have so many video games in the world. I was never able to do that. We already have Mario Kart, so this game is pointless. I kept crashing and wouldn't be able to win any of the races.
If your looking for a racing game, go for Gran Turisimo 4. Whoever thinks they are for education is a f***ing son of a bitc*. It's all fun to a certain extent, but when you beat the game in two hours with NO effort, you start to want your money back. Lego Racers 2 is just another racing game in an era with hundreds of racing games. P.S. The graphics are not bad in the least bit, but they aren't good in the least bit. Video games are not for educational purposes, that's why they're video games.
Cheating opponents enhance educational value. Your characters steals some car parts to make the game even more educationalIronically enough the developer company is called "Attention to Detail" Attention to what. 2.
4. Impossible to win races. If you want to make your kid cry this is a good way:1.
5. Difficult steering of the car.
Confusing and counterintuitive interface. 3.
For instance, your car loses Lego pieces when you bump things too hard.and when you run out of pieces, you have to huff it on foot. I'm sure if I were 8 years old, I would think this was a really great game all-around. The process is slow, and I found myself just grabbing pre-made cars instead. There's an EXPLORE mode which allows you to drive around the landscapes, talk to other characters, and find bonus games. On the downside, the background music is painful to listen to and the loading times are excessive. Plus there's too much word-balloon talking. LEGO RACERS 2 is but another racing game in the style of MARIO KART, though they have managed to throw in a couple of nice twists. The non-nationalist gibberish spouted by the Lego characters is also a bit annoying to listen to, as you sit there, waiting for the word balloons. Two player mode seemed to be one-on-one only (unless I missed something).
It's funny to zoom past your opponents as their little Lego guys run for the finish line.Another neat aspect is the ability to build your own Lego character and Lego car. Unfortunately, building Lego stuff on screen isn't nearly as fun as doing it in real life. You can bypass the word-balloons or you can read them at their slow pace.there's no ability that I could find for quickly reading text. It would have been nice to race against another human and the computer at the same time. It's a cute game with limited playability for an older audience.
