I don't see it.
If you like the way it looks then thats all its good for.
The food gets luke warm but the plate gets really hot.
The only thing I can see the attractive appeal about it is that its thin yet strong.
Its "pretty" but I like funcionality more.
These dishes are horrible in the microwave.

My wife keep getting these types of dishes.
The scalloped edges are lovely. If you like a more classical pattern with some sweet updates, this is a good style. I have 3 boys and none have broken yet and they actually like the botanical images and all the insects (ladybug, bee, butterfly)on the plates. They are sturdy too.
The pasta plates are great for soups and pasta. The china is sturdy, and it's not too big or too small. I think the bowl is just okay. It could be a little bigger.
I love all the butterfly meadow series. At the store they banged one against a table and it didn't break (don't try at home). The pasta bowls are lovely (as the mama, I love that) and durable (important when you have boys).
I love the Pasta set the perfect gift for a beloved friends wedding.
