Logitech 980158-0403 Internet Chat Headset Reviews
They worked well and the sound quality wasn't bad over skype, but the uncomfortable design is a significant setback. I found these hurt my ears after 15-20 mins.
Had complaints about sound quality but that may be the fault of software. Almost cutting my ears. Better than any other headset I've tried though. Kinda sharp plastic hurts the tops of my ears where it rests.
Cons: If like me you use them everyday then will wear out quickly. Pros: Light, have different coloured ear covers. The foam headphone covers fall off and the foam covering the microphone has fallen off. Sound and microphone are good.
Microphone is not picking up sound, unless you stuff it in your mouth basically @_@;. 1 and 3 were taken very good care of, 2 might have been been or twisted a few too many times ^o^. 2. Microphone does not seem to work at all, and was a bit dodgy from the beginning. 3. 1.
Their fates are, after 3 months of continuous use:. Still, was worth the price for the usage I got from it ^__^ Working just fine, clear sound, working microphone ^o^. Well, the price was just right and I got 3 due to the pricing~.
- The color on the customizable covers can be easily scratched off on all except the black covers. - Price when I bought it and current price (3/5/08) is affordable and won't break the bank. - Headset has a volume adjuster on the cord as well as a switch to mute the microphone. Other:. Cons:.
It's about a half inch long and maybe a quarter inch wide, if that. In any case, if this is an issue with the headset, it could be a problem for people trying to listen to you if they have music/game sounds/etc also going through their speakers that they are listening to. - Long cord is great for those who move around their desk a lot. Here's two plus years of experience with my current set summed up into pros & cons. These are the rag-tag pair of headphones you can take to a gaming/chat session, beat up and/or lose and not be terribly worried about it. However, if you want something lasting, comfortable, or with better sound quality (mostly with the pickup in the mic), then I would suggest looking elsewhere.
- Foam over the microphone and earspeakers easily tears and/or comes off. (A higher price would have knocked this down a star). On mine it was particularly noticeable over the right ear. With the exception of black, the covers are actually silver colored with a red/blue/orange color coating.
If you need some recording done, this isn't what you are looking for. I had to file it down a little for it to be wearable for longer periods of time. - Band that goes around the head is not adjustable. With the set I had you could chose from red, black, blue, and orange changeable covers. - Will not record quality sound.
- Even after adjusting programs/computer, sound output from microphone tends to be quieter/lower in volume in comparison to other headsets. Aside from being easily lost, if you have one cover that just doesn't want to pop off, the size of this tool will not give you leverage. - Plastic on the headband, particularly over the ears, has had issues with having some sharp plastic edges. Those with larger heads may have problems getting the headset to fit. Summary:. - Good for basic chat needs.
For students, the extra long cord is great for letting you get up and walk around the dorm room. As this didn't always happen, this could be the settings on my friends computers, but my headset was the only one they were having issues with and this was across various chat programs. Pros:. - Side panels on the earspeakers are changeable for those who like personalizing their items. - The tool supplied to take off the customizable covers is VERY tiny. The price is really what makes this headset.
