Logitech Cordless Desktop LX 710 Laser Reviews
We watch lots of TV shows and movies from our media computer on our HDTV, so it works great.
My wife's favorite features are the multi-media buttons.
It works well, has great range, and is fully functional.
If I had a complaint, it would only be that the mouse doesn't work on all surfaces.
And.
you gotta LOVE the price.
I love this product.
So it's really not against this particular combo, just mice in general.
but then again, what mouse does.
It is very convenient. I use it too. I bought this as gift for my "computer-geek" husband. He likes it a lot.
That's nice. Like other reviewers, I'm extremely hard on keyboards and mice. I have no life. I think I've only changed the battery on the keyboard once and on the mouse twice - and that's using the keyboard about 14 hours a day. Now, the mouse. The keyboard controls the volume on my media player and allows you to set up the one you wish to use.
Most modern combos are made for you right handed folks and nothing for the rest of us. Just one click and it opens up. I also like it's ability to have a small footprint taking up less room. There's a VOIP button, but since I don't have a VOIP phone I'm not sure how well it works.
This mouse is superb. Again, just one button. I have used several of the function keys and they work quite well. It scrolls to the right and left easily on a web page and the battery seems to last a lot longer than most out there.
Very nice. There are other buttons on the keyboard I have yet to use. I'm quite spoiled by just hitting the function keys to move between Word, Excel, the calculator, etc. I'm not a big fan of these wavy looking models Microsoft puts out that are huge and take up space. I'm a southpaw and having a mouse that fits well into my hand is a plus. It increases the size of documents, pictures and web pages.
Initially I used Windows Media Player and then set it to use Winamp. Bottom line: This is a superb combo and I wish there were more like it. It's very aesthetic and looks nice on my desk. I can move the keyboard out of the way easily for other tasks I need to do on my desk. The price is reasonable and I'm happy to recommend to friends and co-workers. I type all day at work and some at night and on the weekend.
I bought this combo about 14 months ago and this thing is still working like a champ.
Key board is a little small (at least it seems like that) otherwise it is fine. One problem with HP mouse was battery short life so far this laser mouse seems to have longer life.
However, there may be another more current Logitech system that works more reliably. I don't feel that this one hits the mark. Go for a newer unit. You want a keyboard to work 100% of the time without fail. I find that it consumes battery juice faster that expected. Perhaps my unit is simply buggy. Otherwise, the ergodynamics with a good wrist pad, support are good.
It works beautifully and then for several minutes, I'm fiddling with it.working to bring 'er back to life. Portability is great but when you are typing and it drops keys.this is frustrating. I have had consistent problems with connectivity, dropped keys, having to pull reset the connection. It's a great keyboard on which to type, very comfortable, etc. I have been using the LX 710 for about a year.
