Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick (963290-0403) Reviews
I gave it a 4 only because it doesn't have forced feedback. As a matter of fact I'm looking for a joystick with forced feedback now and I think I'll stick with a Logitech joystick. A very very good price for what it does. I Have NEVER had a problem with ANY Logitech product. I have had this joy stick for about 3 years now I think it was.
After 1½-3 years it will completly go haywire, it loses its alignment. I personally think this one of the best joysticks. I know this has happened to many people, but it is definitly worth buying. I will be buying it again, because it has the best deals :D But it does have one problem people should be aware of:.
This is simply not true. PROS. This could be a good thing for some people. Don't be fooled by the low price, this is a high-quality fully-functioned joystick. There are 12 distinct buttons, in addition to a 4-directional "POV" button nub on the top which basically adds 4 more buttons (or up to 8 more buttons if you use the diagonal directions). A fantastic joystick from a reputable manufacturer.
>SOFTWARE. >LOTS OF BUTTONS. Compared to my last joystick (which was not nearly as good as this one), this Logitech is pretty heavy. Out of the box, the basic x-y axes are very stiff and you meet a lot of resistance while trying to move the stick. In addition to the usual x-y axes, there is the "Twist" axis, which is useful in space sims for spinning your vehicle (the Roll axis). Logitech software (included or download from website) is great for games that don't provide full joystick support (like Dark Horizon). Many people complained that there are not enough buttons.
>STIFF. I'm sure over time the springs will wear out and it will be easier to move the stick. CONS. And of course, there's a throttle. >WELL-PLACED BUTTONS. All the crucial buttons are extremely well-placed and feel very natural to touch. You can remap any keys/key-combinations to any of the buttons or axes on the joystick.
>HEAVY.
i got this for my husband so he can play the flight simulator, he says its great and does the job
After a good number of years, we finally replaced the joystick my son uses for things like Flight Sim and NASCAR SimRacing. This one has a very stable base - it is weighted down better than the last one, does not slip off the desk or require an extra hand to keep it in place, AND I can't hear it from the other side of the house anymore. I am happy with it.
