Logitech Premium 4-Port USB Hub Reviews
In conclusion, if you are an Logitech fan, or an adherent of minimalist, you can always find another that is cheaper but yet has same feature. It has an indicator showing which port you are using. The design is pretty simple and match with most of the environment. I chose this product because its simple design and its piano black color, just that. This item is just the standard 4-port USB hub, nothing really special about it. Being a Logitech, it means that we have to pay extra.
I tested the hub with a few different PC's and on a PS3 and it works great. The only gripe I have with it so far is the that the cable is too short for me. Overall this is a great hub for a small price. The light indicators are great to see if your other usb devices are connected properly. However some may want short cable.
The only thing that is a downer is it doesn't come with the adapter to have the hub powered but if need be you can buy it for a bit more. Once again I was surprised of the good quality from logitech for a cheap price (about $12 on sale). This device fit my needs perfectly and looks great. Other than that it's small and perfect and highly recommend.
If the accessories you plan on using with it have their own power source (such as a printer), then it's great, but if you want to run a mouse, usb hard drive, flash drive, phone adapter, etc. This thing doesn't even provide enough power to run my mouse, much less 2, 3, or 4 items at once. Great hub, if you spend the extra $20 or so dollars for the "optional" power transformer. Get something else that has its own power supply.
But since it doesn't come with a power adapter (even though one was designed for it and is IMPOSSIBLE to find one to buy) power hungry devices still need to be plugged directly into my laptop. Works great for usb devices that have their own power supply.
