Logitech Z-2300 THX-Certified 200-Watt 2.1 Speaker System Reviews
Then, tops. It has a base volume control, but no other frequency. I was a bit frustrated until I turned the speakers away from me toward the wall. Good price, good sound, but no hi frequency volume control. That helped a lot. The high frequency sounds come in too strong for my taste. Still, it needs a full range equalizer.
THX certified need i say more. If you are looking for a great surround sound system buy this fast it is one of the best sound system I have ever owned.
This system sounds great. I can't believe the sound output for the size of the speakers. Great product for the money.
Then screw into the back at the top of each speaker a D-ring like those that come on the back of large/heavy mirrors or pictures; and you now have wall-mountable speakers. Do not be put off from buying because the speakers do not come ready to hang or that the cords to the speakers are not long enough. It is extremely simple to do. You can open the speakers (the screws are behind the rubber gaskets that hold the screen cover on the front) and splice in copper speaker wire bought by the roll, put the speakers back together, and then splice the plug that connects to the subwoofer to the end of the length of cord you added. With a little ingenuity you can remedy both. I will not reiterate everything that has already been said about this outstanding system, but will add two things.
Slightly packed the Polyfill around the speaker and loosley around the port tube opening, huge improvement. I enjoy good audio and have Paradigm and B&W speakers with Rotel equipment. The described setup is prety darn good. well you can not, but with a few changs you will get great sound with the stuffed sub and 2 pretty good regular speakers. Do you really think you can get a good 2.1 for $100.
Oh yes they sound great now. The 2 other speakers do lack midrange so I replaced them with some small paradigm speakers. This 2.1 setup is OK but the subwoofer booms badly. I removed the amplifier plate and put in about a gallon of speaker dampening, Acust-Stuf Polyfill. I left space around the transformer and the amplifier for cooling.
