Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel Reviews

blue team. I'll trade a little bit of graphics for a lot of ease-of-use any day, and the graphics in this game are great as far as I'm concerned. There are lots of cool karts and bikes (some of which you start out with, others you unlock by playing and/or winning various cups), and the same goes for the characters, featuring most of your favorites from the Mario universe. In other words, you are often punished for good play. There are old courses from previous versions of Kart, and there are new ones for the Wii version. Mario Kart for the Wii is one of the best video games I've ever played. There are people out there who criticize the Wii's graphics in comparison to Playstation, but I'm not among them. So there's room for improvement in the game.

Wii Kart also has some interesting battle areas, though it's too bad you can't go one-on-one against someone. When playing with friends, or participating in on-line play, this kind of anything-can-happen scenario is part of the charm. The only criticism of significance I have is that the game really isn't fair. The wheel is intuitive, easy to use, comfortable, and extremely fun, especially when playing with one or more friends. Team play is also available for the races, giving you the option of playing with or against a friend. Sure, you do need to buy an extra wheel in addition to the one that comes with the game, just as pretty much everyone had to buy a second wii-mote after buying the system, but Nintendo has always been about "gettin' ya" with the extras, so we grudgingly accept the inevitable. A little more focus on strategy would be nice, with skill being rewarded more than luck, but for a rollicking, fast-paced good time, it'll be difficult to surpass this game.

I like this option because I'm a big fan of cooperative games. In particular, when playing the expert, 150 cc level, you get absolutely creamed by every green shell, blue shell, red shell, pow, lightning bolt, and ink that the computer can throw at you. because you ARE, in fact, being unfairly targeted. The graphics, in my opinion are great. When playing against the computer, it's hard not to feel like you're being unfairly targeted. In many cases, it's better to enter the final stretch in 4th place than 1st.

(Compare with the lack of control you get when playing Sonic Zero Gravity - it's a huge improvement). Along with Mario Galaxy, I think it's an absolutely must-have game. It's always red vs. I can't tell you how many times I entered the final stretch in first place only to get blasted relentlessly until I ended up in 5th, 6th, even 11th or 12th place.

You can also play with the remote and nunchuck, or the classic arcade style controller. This is by far the best Mario Kart that has been released to date. I highly recommend this game to fans of the series. It is simple to find friends, meet up, and race. The online mechanics are very easy, fun, and addictive. The game combines the best of old tracks with improved gameplay. The Wii Wheel adds another dimension to the game that did not previously exist.

The reason being. NOTE: I wouldn't suggest using the wheel because it's just a handicap. They'll continuously throw blue shells at you, big you, or special you. Hackers.

It's annoying and because wifi has a point system it makes the game VERY unfair. The graphics are amazing compared to the Nintendo 64, Gamecube, and especially the DS versions. -KW

It's because of a huge tragic flaw with the game, that turned what was a totally amazing game, into something you want to break after you get into it. You can't ignore them because it's so obvious they're cheating. People who use cheats to have a total advantage against others for wifi playing are the ultimate low.

Why did I rate this game as an overall 3 stars, yet give it 5 for fun. I'm a huge Mario Kart fan, and this game is amazing. Besides that huge flaw, that ruins what I believe is the best part of the game, Mario Kart is endless fun.

This is a great game for both young and old, boy or girl. It has different levels so even my youngest (age 6) can have a blast. Everyone in the family loves this game. We like using the wheel with the remote for better handling. The graphics are very good, color is bright, choices for characters are fun, sound is adjustable.

Unlike some consoles where you have to shell up a monthly fee to play online, *Coughxboxlivecough*, Nintendo offers free online play which makes it worth it. It could be cheaper, but I'm guessing Nintendo is bankrolling their server infrastructure with the profits fro You will make all your friends buy this, and meet up online for crazy games with mushrooms, and bombshells, and what not. At $45, this was worth every penny. Check out merit line for spare wheels if you need them.
