Marvel Ultimate Alliance Reviews

This is a pretty fun game. The in-game graphics are excellent for an older generation console, and the cinematics are really good as well. It plays pretty much the same as Justice League:Heroes, which can get a little repetetive, but it's still a good game to pass the time with.

This could be in part because the lack of a set of constant protagonists can make it difficult to get fully invested in what story there is, but the content itself also seems kinda weak. I'm a big Marvel fan, so I found a lot to enjoy about this game; there are tons of characters here, some more obscure than others, as well as some fan favorites that should always be available (Deadpool, anyone). For me, the combat can get a little repetitive; sure, you can switch out characters to make things more interesting, but the game really rewards you for keeping a core of the same team members (a rep bonus, passive team ability boosts, etc). I haven't finished it yet, but I am enjoying it; my only major gripe would be that the story seems kind of watered down. All in all though, it's a very worthwhile game, fun to play with friends, and the price makes it well worth picking up. These are just my impressions so far; they might change as I continue playing. The gameplay is fun, but probably best in small doses.

PURE AND SIMPLE FUN. I'm a MARVEL fan but i'm also an avid gamer and when you get a chance to play as ANY of more than 20 super-heroes , each one with his/her own set of Powers AND many unlockable outfits.you just have to add this to your collection. It is THAT good. This game is a must-have for any MARVEL fan. I had this game for the PC and I'm even thinking about getting a PSP Marvel Ultimate Allianceversion of it. And as you play along with friends you know that this game is going to be remembered for giving you a sense of exitement you never felt ever again since you and your big brother were kids playing with action figures. Pure and simple.

Wish it was not too confusing, would have returned it if I didn't already open it and play it.

But, if your going to get this game, look for the gold edition, in that one you can be all these people, plus Cycloops, the Hulk, and Venom, plus more. Ms.Marvel, Dr.Strange, Silver Surfer(yes, THE silver surfer), Dare Devil(my favorite), Elektra, Mr.Fantastic, Invisibe woman, Thing, The Human Torch, Thor, Deadpool, Wolverine, Storm, Iceman, Black Panther, Luke Cage(the SWEET CHRISTMAS guy), spider-man, spider-WOMAN, Nick Fury(leader of S.H.E.I.L.D)., Blade, Ghost Rider, Iron Man, and. First off, I'd like to compliment the amount of heroes you can play as, here is a list (for regular, not gold edition):. "X Academy". Also, each hero has unuiqe powers, it's not the same hero in a different costume *coughjusticeleageheroescough*.Another really cool thing if you've played "X-Men Legends" (which I think is like a prototype of "Marvel: Ultimate Alliance"), you alternate through differant bases, like "Stark Tower", "Attilan", and "Asgard", unlike Legends where your base is always. Captain America.Sadly, you cannot be my favorite hero of all time, Nightcrawler(you find out why in Mephiso's realm), One of the other cool features is that when you have certain combonations of people, you can moke teams, like the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-men, and things like "Dark Past". But if you can't find Gold, don't be hesitant to by the origonal, it's still THE BEST(not ONE of the best) super hero game, I've ever played, actually, THE best game I've ever played.
