One of my pet peeves is camera manufactures coming out with new battery designs when they really are not needed. Most of the other Canon powershot cameras used the same battery design I don't know why Canon has to break the mold and come out with the NB-6L.
This battery worked perfectly in my camera. It seems to hold a charge well and last as long as the Canon OEM battery. Even if it lasted only half as long for the price of this battery I would be very pleased.
May not last quite as long as the Canon version, but it's close. Worth every penny of it's low price.
Keep it with my Canon camera, price MUCH less than Canon price, seems to be just as good. Keep this and the one in the camera charged, ready for lotsa picture taking.
This battery cost a small fraction of the factory battery and it works as well.
Bought a year ago, less than 20 recharge cycles, and now it has stopped taking a charge. It's cheap enough that you can buy a handful of them and still be ahead of buying original Canon batteries. But still, this is approaching disposable batteries!
