Micro Machines V4 Reviews
This game is the best ever if you want fun rented this game a few months ago didnt think it would be much fun. its 4 player too. there are 750 cars and 25 tracks. but seriously the best game ive ever played. you have to get this.
at first it was a bit boring then when i started playing more of it i luved it. it is a great game. i play it like most of the time. its fun and energetic and it gets u goin. so i recommend it to any1 who likes video games.
V4 is a great multiplayer game and I would say, more suited for older children or adults. I happily purchased this so I could finally retire the PSX controllers I have kept around for years just so we could continue to play Micro Machines V3 on the PS2. Overall, it seems that V4 is a worthy port for PS2 with slightly improved graphics & similar gameplay. V3 actually allowed 8 players, which was a ton of fun, but 4 players keeps it plenty lively. The maps on V4 are clever and fairly easy to learn, but not terribly different from V3.
If you like racing games this if for you. Also kid friendly. Have played every version of Micro Machines and I think it just keeps getting better and better.
All in all, this is one of the best games we own for the family to play together. In order for the kids to practice the races and to get new cars quickly, they just played the MicroTournaments on "easy mode" - each race you win gets you 3 cars, and when you complete a race section you get 15. I bought this hoping for a racing game to play with my family and I have been overwhelmed by its entertainment. We started playing this game when my son was 5 years old and my daughter was 6 years old, and it didn't take very long for them to pick up and understand the controls. The kids love the funny attachments you can get for the cars during the races to shoot peas, drop pumpkin bombs, and even to have an oversized hammer on your car to try to pound any cars in front.
