Microids: Syberia 1 & 2 DJC
In the game, the player controls the actions of American lawyer Kate Walker, who is sent to a remote European village in order to finalize the take-over of a toy factory there. Once at the village, Kate learns that the woman who owned the factory has just died, and that she has a brother who must be contacted in order for the takeover to proceed. Her mission takes her across thousands of miles, and leads her to question her own lifestyle. The title, Syberia refers to a mythical island, which is referenced in the game and is to be Kate's ultimate destination.

I was SO bored with the lack of new game releases over the summer, so thought I'd take a chance on this one. It is one of those games you hope will never end. This one is safe for kids and will provide hours of adventure. Yes, the graphics are HORRIBLE by today's standards, but the story was awesome. Highly recommend. but unfortunately it does.
Absolutely beautiful graphics, very good storyline, and just over all a very engrossing game on both games.
However, the actually graphics and images, as well as the dialogue and culture of these places is what makes it very fascinating. I thought this game was excellent. This was definitely an artistic game and not one that involved a lot of wit but some in order to complete it. The story is a little more reality-based with the main character while she makes a journey to places and with characters that one would not normally see in our own world, but that is what is nice about this fantasy world taking place in our own. The puzzles are not very complicated when performed in the correct order.
I would reccomend this game as a "must have" for adventure gamers. everything about this game is real good. I hope they make a third game to the series.
The packaging of the two games together at half the price of one game sealed the deal. This approach to adventure gaming is a winner. The games themselves are engaging and the graphic arts are exceptional.
