It comes with some fluff software thats kinda stupid but other than that it was a very good buy. I bought this mainly for use as a microphone and to video chat via skype. Firstly the picture quality is exceptional much better than that of webcams mounted in computer. The mic quality is very nice as well. This little cam is quite versatile, it has several features that I would have never thought of.
Works well with my laptop. Just unwrapped it and attached to my machine. I am pleased the way it is showing the pics. Its working. Great Item for the price. Good deal on the webcam for low price.
However, sometimes it asks me to put in the Microsoft webcam CD to use certain features, even though I've already done that, twice. The picture quality of this camera is quite good. The little fun effects are neat, too. The webcam is easy to setup and install. Since I now have no way to clip it to my notebook, I cannot use this product. The webcam will not stand on it's own, so now I have no way to use it. I don't like the mechanism that it uses to "clip" onto notebooks though - it's not sturdy and after a few months use, the clip has broken.
This is an ok camera. You pretty much have to be right next to a window mid day to get a good picture without it looking cheap. the sound is excellent though. The pictures are grainy and dont compare to cameras in laptops like Mac. I say if you want it as a just in case you want to video chat type of camera.good choice. If you have a vlog or do a lot of important video chats I'd upgrade. I havent had a web camera for about 5 years and this camera is only mildly better than that one. Videos are ok, a little choppy so if you plan on moving.beware.
Worked well when I communicated with my son via AOL instant messenger. It is amazing. Haven't tried to use with any other application yet. Easy to follow instruction guide and to get working.
