Love it. alot easyer then xp and better graphics and software No problems to report computer is great to use with this software (dell insperon 531) very happy.
I'll probably revert back to my all OS or try a non-windows OS. Is not worth all the hype. All I have experienced is a least three crashes a day.
Once the vendors make their product for Mac, then bye bye Windows. The service I got from Amazon was great. I have an iMac, and the only reason I ordered Vista, is because there are still a few vendors out there that don't make their product for Mac, so Windows is a necessary Evil. I put Windows on my Mac hard drive just to run those few programs.
DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY. It is Very slow, it is very unstable, takes forever to boot up, takes for ever to load programs, and should be considered a Down-grade not an up-grade. And my machine is pretty new with 4 gigs of ram, and dual Athlon CPUs. So don't waste your time or money. Micro soft (junk) vista is nasty. I had to install it 4 different times to get it to work.
Hopefully you will tell everyone you know, as well. I'd give it zero stars if I could. Since micro soft support is an absolute joke, I'm left with only the option of telling the truth to the world. And I am seriously considering taking microjunk to Small Claims Court.
In my opinion, if you really want Vista, buy it on a new PC. Have been using Microsoft products since the DOS 3.x days but I have to say that if I were to go buy a new computer right now, I would be leaning towards a Mac (now that it runs UNIX). Background on me: I am a former network admin who now works in my company's programming department writing SQL code all day long. It completely crashed every time but one. I read so many other reviews about how bad the upgrade was and thought that there was no way it could be worse than the older ones. Googled that problem and found that it is very common.
Only thing is, no one really seems to know the cause. Tried to re-install 4 times after this problem, back to constant crashing during the upgrade. I think I have upgraded every Windows version since 3.0, I just cannot believe that this is the hardest one yet. (you get the idea) Bought a new $250 Nvidia video card, same problem. Background on my system: running a dual-core Intel w/ 4GB of RAM and TONS (over 2TB) of disk space. For some people it is the video card, for others it was a smallish HDD (usually a particular Samsung model). Was hoping that Vista did a better job with my RAM management but looks like I will never know now.
The one time it did not crash Vista booted with a black screen and only showed my mouse pointer. Believe them; it really is as bad as they say. Others. DO NOT waste tons of time trying to upgrade from XP like I have. Have re-installed XP Pro. Have tried to load the upgrade on a fresh 500GB drive at least 12 times now.
