Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 - Slate Reviews

And as a bonus, when the USB stick is in the mouse, the power is always off, meaning your battery is only ever used while you're using the mouse (not while it's getting jostled around in your bag). This is basically a perfect laptop mouse. I spent the extra few bucks to get the fetching pomegranate red version, and I have never looked back. It's compact, comfortable in the hands, accurate, and the USB stick is stowed in the bottom of the mouse itself. I can't think of a negative thing about this mouse, even the color.

I really do not know what took me so long to go wireless. The main thing that I notice about this mouse is that it is fast. It has been a past due needed addition. If you are thinking a wirless mouse, this is the way to go. I have had it now for over two months and it is working problem free. Since buying my Microsoft Wireless Notebook Mouse 3000 Slate I been very pleased. Easy to hook up and the cover on the battery stays in place.

It is very light and quite small. Bought this for my wife for Christmas as a laptop mouse. It works only intermittently. Definitely would not recommend this product.

Battery life was a big dissappointment as we had to replace the first time after about 2 weeks. and eventually each little wiggle or bump would cause it to lose its connection. It is unfortunate that a mouse that is advertised for use with notebook really is not practical for laptop/notebook use because of the big receiver stick hanging out so far. I became afraid that I would bump it too hard and mess up my USB port and also got sick of plugging it in and out all the time and attaching it to and from the actual mouse to try to save the battery. This mouse is comfortable in hand, works well and was extremely easy to set up. The little wand that plugs into the USB port sticks out quite a ways out from the side of my laptop.

So, great for desks, but I would definately consider a mouse with nano receiver for laptop/notebook use if you'll be doing your computing anywhere else. When I found a wireless mouse that I could connect with only a tiny thing sticking out(nano receiver) and leave plugged in all the time and just switch it off and on easily.well I bought the new one and my Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 now sits in a drawer in case of a mouse emergency. Unfortunately the little USB stick receiver was a problem from day 1. When I worked on the couch, chair, bed.I kept bumping it on my legs, arm of chair, cat, etc.

You can get a list of options by right-clicking, depending on what you're doing (word processing, web browsing, etc). Customers with large hands might find this mouse suitable only for occasional use since it is designed for portability. You can get a list of options by right-clicking, depending on what you're doing (word processing, web browsing, etc). The wheel in the center scrolls, albeit not as smoothly as it should, and, if you depress the scroll button, you get Dashboard on your screen. Microsoft has entered the "color market" with this sleek, comfortable wireless mouse designed for notebooks. The biggest drawback is the loose-fitting USB connection; although it does not interrupt usage, I'm concerned that the transmitter could snap off or damage the USB port. It is slightly larger than some designed for laptops, although it's still smaller than a traditional mouse.

The transmitter is strong enough to pick up mouse navigation if you sit several feet back from your computer.

Because the mouse is fast and sensitive, users who prefer a slower response will have to change their settings.

For Mac users: this mouse has features that are unavailable to Apple one-click mouses.

Even better, unlike the Logitech MX 1100 Cordless Laser Mouse (910-000718), the design is symmetrical, so a lefty like me can use it with comfort.

My small hands fit perfectly around this mouse without fatigue.

I haven't tested the full range because the farthest I can get from my computer is about four feet.
