Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Pro
Wireless Optical Desktop Pro 2.0 lets you work your own way in comfort and style. You get wireless technology, ergonomic design, one-touch features, programmable keys, and Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer with Tilt Wheel Technology.
Add wireless freedom, stylish looks, and one-touch features to your desktop with the Wireless Optical Desktop Pro keyboard and mouse combination. This desktop package features customizable keys, optical mouse technology, and a comfortable, ergonomic design. The Wireless MultiMedia keyboard's split, gently sloped shape encourages a natural hand, wrist, and forearm position for maximum comfort. Also, your digital media activities are within easy reach--start, play, and navigate music and video clips with the touch of a button. Customizable hot keys let you quickly start Messenger, Mail, Internet, and Calculator programs. And get one-touch access to files stored in the My Documents, My Pictures, and My Music folders in Windows. Perform common tasks right from your keyboard--press a button to open, close, and save documents, send and forward e-mails, put the computer to sleep, log off, and more. Press the F LOCK key to toggle between standard and enhanced function key commands. The mouse's wider, clear scroll wheel allows you to comfortably move through documents and Web pages quickly without clicking the scroll bar. Accelerated scrolling reacts to how quickly you roll the wheel, saving you time and effort. And the optical sensor replaces your mouse ball, for accuracy and precision--no mouse pad needed. It's ambidextrous, too--whether you control it with your right or left hand, the wireless optical mouse is shaped for comfort. Both the keyboard and mouse work within six feet of the included receiver, even if your computer is out of sight. The pair comes with a three-year warranty.

Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Pro Reviews
Take both of these where ever you need to work, great to control a PC that is displaying on your flat panel TV across the room. May take a while to get used to the split keyboard design but once you get used to it you will never go back to square again.Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Pro Ditch the square keyboard and low quality OEM mouse your new PC comes with and get this high quailty set.
I love things that I wouldn't think of myself and things that show a lot of thought for the user was part of the development process I also allows easy access to your pictures, mail, documents, home page, messenger and media player of your choice. This keyboard gives you a natural feel to typing and is easy on the wrists. Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Pro. I type a minimum of 5 hours a day and was using the previous model, but the upgrades on this new model are the best.
Using windows XP. Have it set up on desktop within 12" from transmitter and never had any problems with the mouse or keyboard.
It has been almost a month since I bought this set and they gave me no problems at all, and the batteries are still in their highest level. I agree with almost everything told in the previous positive reviews: Both the keyboard and the mouse are very comfortable and well-designed, their sizes would not bother anybody with ordinary hand proportions, actually, my hands are quite small for a male adult and even I have no problems in using them. All in all, I would strongly recommend this keyboard and mouse to anybody who is looking for a wireless set with a good price/quality ratio. Unlike their Windows OS, Microsoft knows what they are doing when it comes to keyboards and mice. If you take the keyboard out of its box in a well-lit place, you might think that it is dirty because the keys are have a transparent cover, but in time you get used to it. In one of the earlier reviews someone mentioned that the mouse gets heavy when the batteries are placed in their sockets but I don't agree with this. This wireless set saved me from paying for professional medical care because I had been suffering from intense pain in all of my finger joints and wrists when I bought it.
I am a translator who uses a keyboard at least 8 hours a day with little rest and this wireless set makes my work much easier and comfortable. When I compared the mouse with its peers with similar properties, I felt it to be much lighter. In fact, I think this makes the keyboard look really professional. I guess anybody who ever had to use a laptop keyboard for an extended period knows how much it hurts the fingers, hands and wrists. If you want that extra-long life from your batteries, you can take them out when you won't use your computer for a long time; taking the batteries out of the keyboard is really easy but I can't say this is the case for the mouse. It's not much of a hassle, though.
Now, spending hours translating is not a matter of pain but pleasure and satisfaction from work because once I got used to this split keyboard, my typing actually gained speed.
I'll keep trying, and if I don't have any luck, I will call Microsoft Support for some help. This looks great, and mouse is awesome, but so far, I have been unable to get the keyboard to snyc with the receiver, so I can't use it. Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
