MIDLAND WR300 Weather Radio Reviews
This is an outstanding little radio. compact yet good audio. Its exactly what I needed in the kitchen inorder to listen to regular broadcasts or weather alerts. Small enough to put away when not in use. Love it
This radio has all of the features I was looking for, an am/fm radio, a weather radio with programable emergency alerts and an alarm clock. I chose it because of the features and because of the reviews I read on Amazon. It works fine, the sound is acceptable for my use. It was time consuming to program, it seems there could be a simpler way. My biggest complaint and a complaint in the reviews I read at Amazon was the readability of the screen. It is impossible to see the time unless you get very close and look carefully. You would expect a more readable clock in a "clock radio"
This is a really nice weather radio you can use for a clock radio too. The sound is only one speaker so its not good for listening to music on, but as an alert radio and weather radio it is tops. I think Midland is the best brand for this this type of radio.
My husband and I just moved from New Hampshire to Tennessee. We could drive to and from work in a Nor'Easter! But the thought of a tornado dropping down in our back yard scares my husband silly! The radio is easy to set up and use. The emergency alert "siren" would wake up the dead!!! The features of the radio also include an alarm clock and radio. I would recommend it to everyone.
Some reviews made me cautious about this product but once I set it up, it was better than I expected. The AM/FM radio is more of an after thought but the primary use I wanted was WEATHER and it is superb. It is much better than the old Radio Shack SAME radio I had till it died.
It is easy to set up and has plenty of options that make this SAME WEATHER Radio a must have for anyone who needs or wants a reliable SAME Weather Radio.
The AM/FM section is for general news, NOT music. It is not a good AM/FM radio but is sufficient for my purpose and does bring in the 3 AM and 3 FM stations I need.
