I love this camera. I had mine for about 5 years until I dropped it and it broke. I don't like digital cameras and 35mm cameras don't give the clarity and as good of pictures as this camera does. I was devastated when it broke, but I am seriously thinking about buying this camera again. Even pictures taken with the night flash in pitch black came out clear. very good buy for the money. I never had any problems with it, I recieved clear, colorful pictures from it.
I've had this camera for about 4 years and absolutely love it. If you are thinking of wanting a quality camera that is compact and light, this one is a treasure of a find. I always have it in my purse in case those kodak moments come up and glad it's so small and light that it allows me to do so. Not only does this camera take great pictures, it's compact and so easy to use. I bought this camera as an alternative to a disposable camera but has become so much more. It also takes wonderful black and white photos. I have other cameras but always end up shooting the best pictures with the vectis 2000. I've taken this camera all around the world and have gotten great results from it.
I probably would not buy this camera if had the choice now. The picture quality isn't very good - my pictures oftentimes come out hazy (indoor and outdoor). Also, no matter which view I put the camera in - it also prints out in panoramic view. Quite annoying since I've never had a need for panoramic pictures. I've had this camera for two years and although it is compact and light - easy to carry around anywhere withought being a nuisance, I've had several problems with it.
I have owned a Vectis 2000 for about three years now and have absolutely no complaints. If you are looking for a compact, easy to use, VERY good looking camera, then the Vectis is for you. Also check out the Vectis 3000 which has a larger zoom. I have never had any problems with picture clarity, or messing up a roll at all. The camera is incredibly durable, I have taken it overseas, on many vacations and am still perfectly happy with it. It is a very elegant looking piece of equipment that fits easily in my purse and is perfect even to just carry around in my hand. I have gotten numerous compliments on the camera's sleek shape and compact size.
Automatic dating and even a memo can be programed to print on the back of prints. When first 3 rolls were developed I was able to see a progression of clearer pictures and now I'm completely comfortable watching the flashing green light in the view-finder for the optimum photograph. I bought this while on vacation without a camera, possibly not the best time to break-in a new one. The 3 photo sizes allow for a vast array of shots and the zoom is fairly quick to adjust before the subject gets tired of smiling for the picture. The compact size fits in a jeans pocket while knocking around historical sites.
