Minority Report
The year is 2054 in Minority Report. You take on the role of precrime officer John Anderton, who is the head of an elite police squad that predicts and apprehends murderers before they can commit their crimes. But now you are on the run. Accused of a premurder, you are hunted by the same force that you've dedicated your life to serving.
You are unlikely to find much to enjoy in this game, even if you liked the movie. The elements that made the movie worthwhile--a compelling narrative wrapped in a bow of futuristic high-tech--are glossed over or absent from the game. What?s more, the gameplay is as redundant and simplistic as the graphics are uneven. Worse yet, the game does not allow you to save midlevel (some levels are long), and the instruction manual contains no information on how to play the game, forcing you to play through the training course. You play the game as John Anderton, an officer in the elite Precrime unit responsible for apprehending would-be murderers before they can commit the deed. Given these parameters, it?s not surprising that not a lot of characters die in this game. But there's still plenty of violence. Anderton himself is quite adept at pummeling other officers, guards, robots, or anyone else who gets in his way. With a decent selection of kicks, punches, and combinations (you can purchase additional combos when you collect enough dollar signs), Anderton can beat his way through at least the beginning levels. But even with the ability to purchase additional moves, this slugfest soon becomes tiresome. Minority Report does successfully represent parts of the movie, such as the concussion gun, the jet pack, and the spider bots. The first time you fire the concussion gun, for example, you?ll be impressed with the way the space around Anderton ripples with the force of the weapon. (Unfortunately this rippling effect will also severely limit your ability to see what?s going on in front of you.) Otherwise, the game levels are unimpressive. Character animation is poor--some characters have slotlike mouths and limbs that look like noodles. Minority Report is not great at re-creating the movie, and is even less successful when it breaks with it. --Bill Hummel Pro: - Movie elements represented with decent graphics
Cons: - Elements original to the game have terrible graphics
- Redundant gameplay
- Can?t save midlevel
Based on Steven Spielberg's sci-fi thriller, Minority Report lets players assume the role of the movie's hero, precrime officer John Anderton, the head of an elite police squad that predicts murder and apprehends the would-be killers before the crimes can be committed. When Anderton is accused of a precrime murder, he's forced to elude the law to prove his innocence, while attempting to uncover an insidious conspiracy.

Minority Report Reviews
I liked some of the weapons, especially the Puke Grenades and the baseball bat which was surprisingly effective on many opponents (but not the robots). The repetitiveness of the levels and lack of unique foes were bad points. LOL. Some of the well-designed sets and the fighting style and combos of the main character were the high points of the game.
The game in some aspects reminded me of the Dark Angel game, both were designed around the same time and both were Fox shows. There were some pretty cool levels with good graphics, like the Japanese Garden and the Fossil Room, the Robot Testing Grounds/Warehouse. LOL. I liked how you could pick up your foes and throw them off the roof of buildings or off the subway cars or into bats of acid. Not so fun. But then again this is a 2002 game on PS2 so I guess that was as the moving graphics were back then. The positives:.
I liked the fight on the subway car but I thought it should have been longer - it was fun throwing defeated foes off of the moving subway. The main character and your opponents are not very detailed and the cut scenes are choppy. I liked the karate fighting style of the main character. I like that they made cheats available for the game.if you get stuck or bored with something, you can move on easily. I suppose they tried to have the game follow the plot of the movie loosely, therefore, your character must escape from Pre-Crime and return to Pre-Crime, but did they have to have you return the exact way you came from. I think they were likely just trying to save money on the design aspect.
I like that they had unlocks - the arenas of pain - but I was disappointed with them. I found the game repetitive overall.especially when you end up in the same places in the second half of the game as you were in the first half of the game. Negatives:. There is a limited number of unique foes.mall security guards, pre-crime officers, street punks, factory workers and robots make up the major foes.
Overall, a good game with some flaws. The main character does not resemble Tom Cruise's character at all - that's good or bad depending upon your perspective. Hmmm.
Rent, see if you like it. This game brought some stuff from the movie. If you do, buy it. The Graphies are bad,the story good, and the script and the vocie work Good.
IM FALLING."i cracked up.fuuunny stuff.to me it is better than devil may cry.camera angels are better, beating up on the baddies is better.everything is better.i dont know why its hated its a fun little beat em up and idk why people hate it.u can beat people up and throw them threw the window and the voice overs were so cheesy it was hilarious "oh NO. this was my first ps2 game.so it will always be dear to my heart, finished it in 3 or 4 days(school days).
I bought this game thinking that it would be spectacular. 3.5 Stars The rest is just average. Boy was I wrong. While it has its fun moments, it is mostly monotonus and boring. The fighting system isn't bad, but the graphics are sub-par.
Not knock you out kill you. You kill atleast 3000 people. I was disapointed. When I heard of Minority Report the game, I thought it would be a lot like the movie. In the movie like 1 guy died. In the game, cops, guards, and robots try to kill you. I was wrong.
