Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 200 Diamondtron Natural Flat 22" CRT Monitor

This truly flat screen 22-inch (20.0-inch diagonal viewable image) CRT display features an exceptional resolution and screen performance. The Diamond Plus 200 is an ultra-high performance Diamondtron Natural Flat monitor priced to be more accessible for those desiring to take advantage of the larger-format, 22-inch size category. It's perfectly suited - and perfectly priced - for a wide range of advanced applications including imaging, CAD/CAM/CAE, desktop publishing and pre-press graphic design. The manufacturer applies a calculated polynomial curve to the internal screen surface and aperture grille, which, in essence, pre-distorts the image, compensating optically for the glass refraction that causes image rise at the screen edges. This, coupled with an improved S-NX DBF electron gun and improved deflection yoke technology provides for the flattest, sharpest, and brightest CRT monitor available in the industry. To achieve the natural flat screen effect, the company has invented a proprietary glass DiamondLite system. Using this unique glass tempering process, the monitor features increased strength and reduced weight over conventional glass by 10 percent. DiamondLite Glass also permits a thinner faceplate that reduces parallax distortion to negligible levels.

The Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 200 22-inch Diamondtron natural flat monitor is an ultra high performance monitor suited for a wide range of advanced applications, including imaging, CAD/CAM/CAE, desktop publishing, and prepress graphic design. The newest technology backing the Diamond Plus 200 does not distort the image nor create a concave visual effect on the screen. With no screen curvature, reflections and glare are eliminated. This results in realistic, natural-looking flat images that are much easier on your eyes. The 0.24-millimeter dot pitch and 1,800 x 1,440 maximum resolution with a refresh rate of 72 Hz (160 Hz at lower resolution) ensure crisp, clear image quality.

In addition, the Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 200 22-inch Diamondtron natural flat monitor has an enhanced onscreen display control system that features multilanguage, icon-based control panels and front panel buttons. The swivel base, which is integrated with the monitor, adjusts the viewing angle to suit your preferences. The Diamond Plus 200 is also compatible with both PC and Macintosh computers.

The Diamond Plus 200 is backed by a three-year limited warranty on parts and labor.

Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 200 Diamondtron Natural Flat 22" CRT Monitor Reviews

It has everything you would need in a good monitor This was one of the best CRT monitors I used. Good resolution and real good picture quality. Fast refresh rate. Dual input modes.

I thought I was getting a 22". I hope the monitor does not break down. It is only 20" viewable, they all are regardless of brand.

The difference is immediately apparent. Compared to my old 21" monitor, the Diamond Plus 200 takes up less space, has a larger viewable area, and gives a much crisper image. If I want to go with small fonts, this monitor goes up to 1920x1440, and things are still readable. This one takes up about 18.5" front to back. In summary, I highly recommend this monitor. Screen size on the Diamond Plus 200: 16.25" x 12.25".

Let's give some measurements: The old one took up 20.25" front to back. I'm impressed. Nice. Screen size on the old monitor: 14.5" x 11.5". My screen resolution is at 1600x1200, and the fonts look just as big as they did on 1280x1024 before.

I am replacing a Gateway packaged 19 inch monitor and am pleasantly surprised to find that this monitor is much shallower than the 19" while providing much more vieable area. There are a few reasons why the Diamond Plus 22" stands out from other large monitors. A few nice features: Mitsubishi includes a 3 port USB hub in the back of the monitor, cleaning up the mess of cables from the back of your computer. These little additions make spending the extra dollars worth it for a wonderful monitor. First, many large monitors are deeper than the diagonal view space. Viewable area measures about 20" and depth measures around 19".

Not so with this monitor. The Diamond Plus's screen is absolutely flat, and because of this offers unprecedented picture quality. Also, while I don't currently use the feature, Mitsubishi included the ability to plug a second CPU into the same monitor and switch via a button on the front of the monitor. Second, as monitors get larger, many manufacturors tend to curve the screen out to save on costs.
