Mobilelite USB 2.0 9-IN-1 Read Reviews

I have a universal card bay on my desktop, but there is no ejector, and the SD cards were a pain to get out, so I ordered this. Like an old fashion locket, it requires serious fingernails. It works fine so far. Strangely different from the other side which opens fine (but that I don't use). I've only used the SD slot, but have used it on several computers with no issues. How much is there to say about a piece of electronics less than $15 other than whether it worked. I needed to order one for my dad, and I knew this would drive him batty, so I got him this Sandisk MobileMate SD Plus Memory Card Reader The only complaint is that the cover door on the SD side is very hard to unlatch.

It did work with a A-DATA 1GB SD card and a Sandisk 512MB MicroSD without issue. The reader does not work consistently with Transcend 8 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card TS8GSDHC6. Tranfers are slow. Once the LED comes on, the card can be read. Windows XP on 2 computers complains that the device is not using USB 2.0. The LED doesn't light up unless the SDHC card is moved around while plugged in.

And the design is functional and convenient. Works just fine. I don't think the plastic covers feel fragile at all. I have used microSD cards from my phones and SD cards from my digital camera with no problems. You're dealing with tiny, fragile cards, so I would think you'd be taking some care in dealing with them anyway.

It's very convenient. Love being able to use the micro sd card without the need for an adapter, and also the fact that at the same time I can read a regular SD (3 different slots). Does the job well. The first one I received had a defect, but the sender sent me a replacement right away which worked well til now. The clip to secure the slots is a bit low quality and may break with use, but this will not affect the use of the reader.

When I got it both covers were very tight. The other one (which I don't actually use because I only use it for the SD card reader right now) is still functional and tight. The catches that hold each of the covers down are not very well done. The cover still closes and the cardreader works fine but the cover doesn't catch. Don't exactly need much with a card reader so I wasn't too worried about it. By breaking I mean breaking the catch. I bought this item because it was cheap. I ended up breaking one of them just to get it open.
