Monster Cable 126130 iCable for iPod Reviews
The RCA connections didn't fit the female connection firmly. I don't believe this is a Monster Cable product.
But, he was never able to convince me why they charged $10.00 less for a "better" cable. until I find a better cable out there, which I hope happens soon. Please let it happen soon. Well, I had it out with their customer dis-service department and they kept sending me the exact same piece that wouldn't work. They never issued me the price difference. After the third replacement cable failed to engage, Monster replaced it with another monster cable that works great. The warranty person convinced me it was better.
At least that's what I infer from the fact that some people wrote positive reviews for this product.
I will still buy Monster.
hell it worked.
The male piece that fit into the receiver either don't fully engage (like they did on mine) or if you get them to engage, when you try and take them off they actually disengage the female pieces from the receiver (like they did with my brother's who coincidentally needed a new receiver).
that's better.
This is a long-time coming, but man is this product bad.
but it was $10.00 cheaper and Monster failed to adequately explain the price difference.
Maybe they thought I would want to keep the old cable that didn't work and we would be even.
Apparently, there's a third option, where people actually get it to work.
i would recommend. These are strong, thick and durable wires for the best sound possible. Worth the slight extra over the standard cables.
You have to very carefully jiggle the ends out of your stereo inputs by grabbing the tips or the wires will literally RIP out of the cables and you will eventually have a dangling wire or two sticking out of the side and now you have horrible sound. Yes, these cables produce among the best sound you will get.from a cable. After about 17 months or so of owning these, they are now worthless. Also, though these are gold plated and covered in sturdy mesh, the actual tips of these are horribly constructed by comparison. So buy something else. They do this at about 3X the price of cables with essentially the exact same production.
the second and more frustrating reason is that using the headphone line out to connect to a home stereo will result in terrible sound no matter what freakin cable you use. the result is clipped high-end and muddy bass. it will send low level audio to your receiver and give much better sound.Cables To Go 35507 - iPod Dock Connector To 2 RCA Cable get an ipod dock connector to rca. the first is that analog audio quality is not going to diminish over 7 feet of cable so there's no reason to buy premium quality cable. the reviewers that clain "pristine sound" and the like are either half deaf or monster employees. that is high level audio (amplified to drive headphone speakers) that then gets amplified again by your stereo.
