Monster Cable PowerCenter HTS 2000 MKII
Harmful power surges and voltage spikes can travel up the AC power line and damage connected equipment. Lightning, automatic garage doors, power tools, refrigerators and fluorescent lights all cause power surges and voltage spikes that affect phone lines and coax cables. Monster's Multirole SurgeGuard detects harmful power surges and voltage spikes before they reach components. This PowerCenter HITS 2000 features special surge protection for phone lines and coax cables used for DSS, DIVX /DVD and cable TV connections. Other surge protectors can result in as much as 20 to 30 dB of signal loss, which ultimately affects the output performance of coax connections. Monster's ultra-low loss RF circuitry provides virtually no signal loss to maintain peak performance. Best of all, an audible surge alarm and visual surge indicator warn you of harmful surges and let you know you're getting the most advanced protection available.

Monster Cable PowerCenter HTS 2000 MKII Reviews
I bought this for Sony Bravia XBR4 46 inch TV and I 'm glad I got it for the piece of mind. I recommend it to anyone that wants to protect their investment.
I am very pleased with this purchase and feel a sense of security in knowing my Home Theater setup is well protected by a quality product, that alone is worth the money spent. I have used this product for approximately a week now and here are my thoughts. The color coded outlets along with the color coded labels provided to identify your devices power cords make setup clear and easy for both now and for in the future when you may make some changes by adding or replacing some equipment to your system. I have not noticed any real video improvement over the channels that were high quality prior to the use of the Monster.
Sony upconverting DVD Player. Audio, is clearer, and better defined when receiving dolby surround sound signals from the cable provider. Video on channels that had exhibited quite noticeable interference in the past are now much clearer and you really have to look for it now. Toshiba 32" HD LCD TV.
Sony VCR. Onkyo TX-SR805 A/V Receiver. When routing your cable coax through this unit there is very little signal loss if any. JBL speakers for THX 7.1 Channel sound. I like the digital display for power provided to the unit and also the one displaying power use, it's informative and a nice touch. First of all my setup.
Upon receipt my first thought was, "my this thing is huge." It is large, but hey, it provides 12 AC outlets and allows the extra space needed for those of us stuck with large power adapters, never alone the coaxial ins and outs and digital power and usage displays. I have lost no channels due to signal loss as some have reported here, as I touched upon earlier, my signal is actually stronger now because of the improvement over the surge protector it replaced. It has the look and feel of quality about it that I am sure most of us appreciate. Digital HD cable from my provider. JVC optical output carousel CD player. I have no second thoughts of recommending this product to anyone in search of a high quality surge protector to protect their Audio/Video components.
This unit replaced a good quality surge protector that I was using to protect my equipment from power surges through the cable coax and the monster definately demonstrates less signal loss than the unit I had used in the past.
I would recommend this. It's interesting to see how much power is consumed in standby mode. The digital current gauges are a nice touch. I like the labels on the strip itself and the stick-on labels provided for your power cords. Yes it's big, it's Monster, it's probably overpriced but it is sturdy and reliable. I won't say it makes my sound and picture noticable better because I have relatively clean power in my area so it didn't make much of a difference. But I am confident in its surge protecting ability.
I've had this one for 3 months now. I've always used monster cable surge protectors and have been happy with them.
I have a 58" plasma and blue ray player plugged into it and I really have piece of mind that everything is protected. I had to place it behind the TV stand. Make sure you have enough room before purchasing it.
Other than the size, I would recommend it to anyone. But this is a very large surge protector. I could not fit in any shelf of my TV stand.
I really like the design, and the many outlets it has.
Setup was also easy. I have connected my HDTV and audio receiver to it. I would recommend it at this price. Works very well. Purchased it few weeks ago.
