Good unit. I had an active amplifier working off the line out signal, but it failed on one channel. Everything works well. I decided to buy the SS4 passive speaker selector and use the second speaker outlet for it. I decided to buy the Monster Cable version because of their reputation.
I found that buying the flat connectors at an electronics store were very helpful vs. I've used it for two weeks now and still no smoke from my amp.that's a good sign. I am running 3 sets of speakers and they all work fine. trying to connect with bare wires. Great product and you can't beat the price.
I work in a professional office and needed to distribute the music to 8 different speakers. I'm using 18 gauge wire, so experienced no issues with the terminals as reported by some. Highly recommend. I liked the idea of a speaker selector and was comparing the Monster vs the Niles. From what I can tell, same prodcut but the Monster was much less expensive. A Sony DA receiver powers the system and it works great. I even bridged the output to some of the speakers to obtain mono and the selector has not tripped yet.
I received the Monster Cable SS-4 Speaker Selector the other day and was doubtful when I first opened the package. This is an excellent product and is better than advertised. DON'T BE. It was easy to install, works great, clear sound, no decrease in power. Had no problem with the speaker connections clamps, used 16 gauge wire. Shop around for best price, but would be hard to beat at any price.
The device was received promptly and was exactly as described. I'm very pleased with the supplier.
