Monster Cable THX V100 CV-8 Component Video Cable
THX is the audio equivalent of the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval. This label appears only on products that meet or exceed a stringent set of technical standards, established by engineers at world-renowned Lucasfilm Ltd. - notably responsible for the Star Wars films. The cables used in large quantities in home theater to connect components can be subject to frequency response and noise problems if not designed and constructed properly. Monster THX V100 CV-8 is built to the most exacting specifications, ensuring the broadest bandwidth and most uncolored signal that's technically possible. To quote George Lucas: "The combination of THX and 5.1 digital sound is the absolute assurance that consumers can now experience the finest sound reproduction from their Home Theater."

Monster Cable THX V100 CV-8 Component Video Cable Reviews
I have a Sony XBR5 and the picture is awesome with these cables. It DOES make a difference on what cables you buy no matter what other people say. If you are willing to spend $5000+ on a TV then pony up the bucks for the good cables to match. Works perfectly and worth every penny. You get what you pay for. I have tried others that dont look as well, but were cheaper. Item just as described. The ones that cant see a difference arnt using it on top of the line products.
Cost too much anywhere else. Needed a good cable run behind the wall, works great, no problems yet.
The image difference in my DVD player went from washed out and faded (using composite) to a vivid array of colors and improved contrast. The cables are very sturdy and the connectors are color coded and ergonomically designed for comfortable gripping while connecting them to your TV and receiver or output device. My TV also has HDMI input also. Monster quality is real and I am sticking to this brand for all my analog cable needs (where you really need shielding, gold plating and sturdy construction to avoid signal loss). I have hooked up my computer screen to the HDMI input and I must say that as far as color luminance and brilliance these component cables can rival HDMI. I got these component cables to upgrade my A/V system upon the arrival of my brand new 37" Sharp Aquos and I must say that they are very well worth the price tag.
As you can see in the above pic, they can't fit side by side, so the jacks are forced to spread apart. I have really never been so angry, and I feel like suing monster. They really don't fit on the component jacks on my BRAND NEW SAMSUNG LCD TV OR my DVD player. The connectors on these cables are WAY TOO THICK.
My S-video looked much better, now I have interference lines. Do not go with Monster, they are an outrageous joke. Oh yeah, and THE PICTURE QUALITY IS TERRIBLE. I had to force them on, it made horrific crunching sounds, and I probably damaged my equipment from pushing so hard on the jacks and spreading them apart because of the girth of these things.
Monster cables always have nice looking, usually more expensive, but this one has resonable price, quality/price rate is good.
