Great charger. No ground loop noise, and it even stops the iPod when the car is turned off.
The audio still works, but the iphone does not charge. WARNING: THE CAR CHARGER IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH THE IPHONE G3.
Please read this before purchasing. The iPod nano Gen 4 is NOT COMPATIBLE with this charger.

It charges the device and the line out jack connects up to my car stero with fantastic sound quality. It will NOT charge an iPhone 3G, however the audio out will work. This device is NOT compatible with the iPhone 3G. I purchased this car charger about 1 1/2 years ago and its never let me down. The sound quality is noticable better then connecting the stero to the headphone jack. Since Monster does not claim tha this product is iPhone compatible I'll give the product 5 stars. I use it with a iPod Nano 2G. I have also used it with a cassette tape adapter in another vehicle with equally good results.
