I can use it for charging my mp3 players and such instead of taking up space on my larger power stip. You almost have to see it to believe it's size. I bought this to put inside one of those charging caddies. If your looking for something compact this is for you. I couldn't use it in the caddy because of the large plug on the end of the strip wouldn't fit through the hole in the back of the caddy. So I returned the caddy.
I have Monster brand items and they work great. It has four outlets and I think that's plenty unless you need more. the caddy I bought was small and inside you could only put a very small power strip. I keep the power strip because I like it's small design.
What would have made it five stars would be a longer cord. I travel a great deal and it is a life saver in hotel rooms that are poorly designed for electrical access. Otherwise I love it. This product is almost perfect. The 14" cord is a bit to short.
Of course, that is simply cosmetic, it doesn't affect how well the product works, so I'll definitely recommend it despite that annoyance. I like the way the plug portion lights up so you know when it is getting power. I have to say, I really like this power strip. It is small and portable so I can easily take it with me when I travel. The only complaint I have is that the silver covers for the plugs tend to randomly pop off - a little flimsy.
I It's small and takes up very little space in the Laptop case. I Like the way it plugs into itself, therefore it takes up less space.
It's great for traveling and the angled plug makes it superb for tight spaces. I bought this product for a trip to Germany and have been using it ever since. Not too much to be said. Well done. And hey, it's from Monster so you know it's not a total piece of crap.
