I have been waiting a long time for a arcade version of Mk for GBa to play on the go.
What kind of classic MK game doesent have RAIDEN. THEY DONT HAVE RAIDEN. They dont have Sheeva, Motaro, or more importantly. Ok First off i would like to say this is a great game overall if you like the classics, which I do, thats why I want SHEEVA. For God's sake they have "stryker" but they dont have sheeva. Where is she.

But before that, the SNES had great games of MK 1, 2 & 3 and then buggered up the trilogy for the N64. You even need the gameshark to unlock Shoakahn, Montoro and Human Smoke because to access them you have to beat the game then get to use them for one round. A GBA is supposed to be a handheld SNES, yet the SNES game never was as slow as this game, the graphics wherent as bad (backgrounds are image's) the moves where executable with ease on the SNES and yet this version it takes 2 or 3 tries to get something to work because the response of the game is not fast enough. Dont buy it, it's slow, it doesnt have the right feel, the response sucks, the computer blocks everything, there is hardly a cheat worth looking at, the bacgrounds suck. Plus, where the hell is Johnny Cage, Goro but most important of all Raiden. It's a serios downstep and it's the worst Mortal Kombat i've ever played.
Wrong. that probably would have been ok to get used to if the bloody response of it actualy worked. I didnt even get a fality off, there is no one button fatality code. This is the worst MK game ever. So, go and find an MK game on any other system and find out why I am saying what I am saying about this version, and you will agree with me 100% when you play the GBA version again and it runs so slow and boring and nothing goes right. Mortal Kombat perfected itself when it brought out the MK Trilogy on Pc and PSX. I played this with a gameshark and needed the infinite health code on. and the worst thing is the feel of it, you cant beat the computer with ease, everythign you do gets blocked, the computer all of a suddan goes on a rampage kicking your butt and you cant do anythign about it.
To screw it up even worse, it's a 2 button game now. What the hell have they made here. i have to slow down my button pressing so the computer can execute the moves which sucks to high heaven.
press back+K for a roundhouse kick, press down+back+kick for a sweep. Now that the power of the SNES can be made into a hand held console, you'd think the GBA version of the original style of MK would rock, right. Plase, if you do like this game, it's probably because you have never played any of the other MK's before.
there is nothing good to say about this game. no more jp,lp,lk,hk,b & r.nope, just k & p. It even makes me like the 64's version better with it's less charactors and no one button fatality cheat that every other version had.
WHY THE HELL GO BACKWARDS FROM THE TRILOGY. You cant have a MK game without Raiden.
What was Ed Boon thinking(no offense to him) when he made this waste of mechanics. Buy MK4 or II or a really worthy MK game. I mean, it's a hell of a lot better than the MK 4 Game Boy color, but it's still so darn horrible. The graphics are barely above bad, there is not nearly as much fun in the gameplay or moves as there is in MK Trilogy(which I plan to get for my big computer), and the sound and character design is atrocious. I think that this game belongs on the shelves except if you either have no love for yourself or if you want to pay a jerk back for something rotten he did to you. This game bums. Man, oh man, don't waste your cash on this game.
