Mother Angelica's Little Book of Life Lessons and Everyday Spirituality Reviews
As it is so with love for God and others-you begin to love the soul and forget everything else. I watched her for many years before her stroke and loved her wisdom and fiesty personality. I just received the cd version of this book and have to admit, as I listened, I was wondering if Raymond was the voiceover for Mother Angelica. You know she has experienced ups and downs in life and through them, has developed a personal relationship with Our Lord. If it is Raymond's voice, then I'm disappointed he didn't ask another sister to read the part but even so, as I continue to listen to the cd's, you begin listening to the words and forget the voice.
When you do not have time for lengthy readings this one will give your spiritual life a boost, the kind we all need with Mother Angelica 's common sense and good humor. One quick page during the day and you are on your way to a little bit of holiness.
As a faithful viewer of EWTN and knowing about Mother Angelica for years I truly appreciate the gift of her "Life Lessons" Raymond Arroyo had done a great job of capturing Mother's spirituality. What a wonderful book for reflective reading. Just having the book to pick up at restful times of the day is a blessing.
Excellent reading. I love the no nonsense attitude and the easy and simple way she has of explaining things. I LOVE this book.
Its too bad that Jonathan Winters didn't record Mothers voice. I have always wondered about Raymond but his drag show as Mother Angelica in his audio "Mother Angelica's Little Book of Life Lessons and Everyday Spirituality" is not only bad theater but her wisdom and his writing is very spare.
