Rather upbeat for such a sad subject as murder. This is a beautiful acoustic song. Thanks Amazon. Can't wait to check out more music by The Avett Brothers.
I think this song was well written & well sung, it's beautiful. I am amazed at the fantastic quality of many of the free downloads that are offered by amazon.
has a great voice and the brothers have good songwriter sensibilities. Review is only for the free title track "Murder in the City". Would be worth listening to even if not free, and makes me curious to get some of their other tunes to see how they sound. This guy (is it Scott or Seth on this track). Completely acoustic, this track shows no hint of the rock-and-roll background they started out with.
