I have recently purchased this Wii game and have completed about 6 workouts with it. I don't agree with other reviewers that the space issues are a problem. I am exercising in a very tiny space and haven't had any problems with space, other than the "skip up and back" routine. But, the routines are quick, so I'm not hindered in any big way.
I like the routines and am finding the workouts very challenging. I like that the game asks for feedback throughout the workout. If you say it's too easy, it'll make it more challenging the next time, and vice versa. For someone who hates to workout at home, it's actually fun and I don't mind doing it.
There is something I dislike about the interface, and, boy, do I hope the game designers read these reviews. The small arrows and buttons at which you aim the Wii remote are WAY WAY WAY too small. Any time I have to enter feedback, weight, age, whatever, it's a tedious process. In fact, several times I have entered the wrong workout feedback because my hand is slightly shaking (working out hard!) and I can't select the correct tiny button.
Other than the size of the interactive design elements, I say thumbs up on this game.
I haven't worked out in several months and was so bored with everything I had (dvds, treadmill, etc.) This game was just what I needed to get me motivated again. The unlock feature keeps me coming back and working out so I can unlock the other features (music, scenery). Also, it never gets boring because she adds new exercises as you progress. It's nice that she checks in after each segment to see how you're feeling. That way if the exercises are too hard, or not hard enough, she will adjust that portion for your next workout. Since I haven't worked out in a while, I'm on level one most of the time, but it's still challenging without being impossible. I've been working out with this for two weeks straight now and I actually look forward to putting the game in and doing it. That says a lot because I just couldn't muster the motivation to do anything else and I have a lot of DVDs and equipment. Overall, this is probably the best fitness purchase I've ever made.

I am 57 and have been using my Wii Fit for a year now. I wanted something more challenging, so I started reading reviews on Amazon. I really like this one because once you take a few minutes to input all your vitals the program works with your ability.As you go along Maya the trainer ask for your input and adjusts the next workout accordingly. I have been working out for 15 min. then finishing with Wii fit for the last 15 so I can still track my weight etc. So if your old like me, don't be afraid....have some fun!
I bought my Wii for one purpose only, to work out. I bought the Wii Fit, it is fun, but it doesn't seem like much of a challenge, well except for the yoga, that is kind of hard. So, I wasn't too enthused about buying another game. Well, my fears were unfounded, because My Fitness Coach is great.
First of all, for those of us that have bought other workout games for the Wii, having to deal with both the Wii remote and the nunchucks can be a PITA! What I like about this game is that the only thing you use the remote for is to get it started. Other that that you use your own equipment such as a stability ball, hand weights, and an aerobic step.
Second, it gives you a fitness evaluation, so you can see your fitness level and it builds a program based on your evaluation and after a few workouts, it does another evaluation to see where you are and builds from there. Plus if you feel that you are working out too hard or not hard enough, all you have to do is press the "+" on the remote and you can change your level. You can also use that button to pause the game too.
Third, you can choose how long you want to workout anywhere from 15 minutes to one hour! This is a really great option for those days when you want to workout but don't have enough time. Let me tell you the 15 minute workout is no joke you will sweat. Also, you can pick the days you want to workout, so if you miss a workout, Maya will say something to you when you come back.
Finally, and most importantly, if you are not the most graceful, coordinated,or physically fit person in the world, you will have no problem working out with Maya. I am 43 years old, and very overweight, I had no problems keeping up with most of the exercises. Plus after each segment, Maya asks you how did it feel and if you say it was too hard or too easy she will adjust your program accordingly.
This is a great game that anyone can play, I recommend it highly.
