The RP614 features four auto-sensing 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports that will figure out each network connection without any need for manual switches. The RP614 allows for transfer of movies, music and photos at up 200 Mbps so the video and sound will be clear. Two security methods are utilized to keep the network secure: Network Address Translation (NAT) and Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI). SPI safeguards against popular Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. For parents, content filtering allows you to set filters so that children are unable to reach websites with certain keywords or domain names, such as those associated with pornography. Web access can also be limited by the day of the week and time of day. NETGEAR RP614 Web Safe Router with 4-Port 10/100 Mbps Switch. I purchased this item a few weeks ago and have not had the time to set it up yet to determine its functionality. I will write an additional Seller Feedback once I connect the device and see how well it works. I can say this though; it arrived earlier than scheduled, in absolutely new condition, packaged well, arrived with everything it stated would be shipped except the Ethernet cable.
It's small, lightweight, a breeze to hook up and it's been working fine (at the time of this review) for two months now without a problem. Great price and fast shipping from Amazon. The Apple site had recommended it, so having 2 Macs, I went with it.
Very easy setup, flawless and faultless. Most important it works with my MAC 10 OS
Was missing the instillation cd and wasn't exactly what they said it would be. Still satified with the product.
I have always liked the Netgear product. Netgears customer service walked me through the whole troubleshooting process and really helped me out. This router is great. I had a few issues installing this product due to other hardware that I have. Its all in the service and Netgear has the best.
