the first phone was defective and it is impossible to get in touch with them (feels like a one man operation). Must email them and be patient.
It is a shame that the computer has to stay on. Cute and efficient design.
Sometimes it freezes on the my Mac and I have to replug the USB line. But you can't really surf the web while talking or you will get bad connection.
For what it is, its good. I would have given it a four star but MYGEARSTORE annoyed me a bit.

From the photos and explaination of this product, it seems to ber made by IPEVO.Actually it isn't. awful. I think that I was defrauded.
This phone is light and portable yet very useable. Great product. Being so compact it travels well and solves the old dialing out problems at some motels/hotels. It works seamlessly with my Mac and Skype. It is now handling all my long distance to land line and cell phones. The audio quality is better than my land line hand set. I am buying a second unit for work.
FYI, this phone (ear piece and microphone) works well with other voice messengers, except the buttons and functions are for skype only. The problem is that sometimes the driver craps out. I've been using this phone for ~ 1 year now. Windows XP pro with most recent Skype version, btw. In this case, skype still works and you can still speak through the phone, but you just can't control skype with the buttons on the phone. I'm half asleep atm. My music still plays through the speakers, but all skype sounds play through the phone (like it's supposed to). Hope that made sense.
Phone was perfect. Pop it in the notebook bad and I am always ready. highly recommended. 2 Minutes later in a conference call with 2 others. Very clear as well as stylish. Loud enought. Very clear. I ordered this and after installing skype, I then put the cd in, installed the software and I was on and ready to go.
