My son is not happy with the microphone. After a few times it does not sit by his face right and he has also had connection problems. I have to agree with all the other poor reviews.
The quality of the sound from the headphones is also great. Anyway, for the next few months, I made due with Nintendo's absolutely horrible headset, until I got this set for my birthday in February. The microphone is absolutely great; works perfectly with all my mic games, and based on the playback in games like Star Fox Command, the audio quality is better. The mic on my DS Lite inexplicably broke. Overall, a great headset for the DS, and I recommend it over Nintendo's official headset to anyone in the market for one. I have no idea why; I've never dropped it on anything hard; it just broke one day.
The mic on our DS stopped sorking and htis external mic works like a champ. Head phones and mic work great.
All in all it worked. Purchased for use with Guitar Hero on tour. Guitar grip and headphone jack do not fit next to each other so I connected headphone jack then shoved the grip on.
I would reccomend this product. My daughter loves the headphones, they make it easier to blow into the mic, hear whats going on and continue looking at the computer screen.
