My 9 year old daughter has no complaints - loves all the upgrades from her old system.
The screens are sharp and the controls are good. It's small and the battery lasts for a while, in my case about a week. I use it for commuting on my hour bus ride.

My six-year old loves it and we got Guitar hero shortly after we purchased the system so the adults in our house enjoy it too. We just wish Guitar hero had more than the few songs it allows you to play.
