If this is caused by Nokia engineering they've screwed up - but if this charger is non-genuine I guess that may also be the cause. Got this charger for my Nokia 6300 in Dec 2007. So far it's been working well, but after upgrading the firmware of my 6300 the phone refuses to charge, saying "Charger not supported". Buyer beware.
Don't let the low price fool you. Also it's hard to plug the charger, which it should be smooth. When it's connected to my phone on the move, it's barely charges because it disconnects and connects again with each stop. I doubt it's original. I bought this part as its Original Nokai part, but I was disappointed.
Steve Buy the NOKIA charger for the NOKIA phone. Save time and money. My phone came with a generic car charger, which I wasn't happy about to begin with. And it finally bit the dust "after really light use" so, I bought the official NOKIA product and I'm back in business.
Let me recharge the cellphone batteries in the car, since the one I'm using drains a lot of power.
this charger is great, now i dnt have to worry getting low batt signal on my 6131 nokia.
