With the ExactSet projection clock from Oregon Scientific, you can be as on time as the most accurate clock in the U.S. That's because the ExactSet clock uses radio frequency to pick up signals from the U.S. Atomic Clock in Boulder, Colorado. The result is an extremely accurate timepiece that updates itself six times a day, never needs resetting, and adjusts automatically for daylight savings. The clock has plenty of convenient features, too, such as the crescendo alarm, the eight-minute snooze, and the dual display that shows current time and alarm time at once. The clock also features a swiveling arm with a 90-degree rotation and a 12-foot range that projects the time in red when you push a button. Backlit with a pleasant blue glow, the screen also indicates the date and day (in English, French, or Spanish), as well as time zone, alarm status, and radio-frequency strength. Powered by two AA batteries or the included AC adapter, the clock only works in the continental U.S. --Emily Bedard

Oregon Scientific RM318PA ExactSet Projection Clock, Silver Reviews

I think this is a wonderful little gadget at a great price. This is a wonderful clock. I have really bad eyes and couldn't see the time at night, but with this clock, I wake up and there's the time on my ceiling. The alarm is neat too. The alarm sound starts out mellow and if you don't turn it off it slowly gets louder and louder to wake you up.lol.

Only about 50% brightness than other OS's popular models; the size of the digits are also smaller. Unless your ceiling is less than 10 feel tall and the room is very drak, otherwise please do consider other models. Unlike some other Oregon Scientific projection clocks , the projection of this model is relatively "dark".

Great product. I don't think it is meant to be. I really really like this clock. It's for night time purposes and works really well at night. The volume of the alarm function is loud enough to wake me but not so loud that it wakes my wife. People complain that the projection light is not visible in daylight.

For the amount you are paying, I'm not sure it is worth it. I have 2 gripes about this clock. I could also read the display on the ceiling well enough. Second of all, if you are lying down with the clock facing you the projection on the ceiling is perpendicular to you so you either have to get used to it or turn your head sideways to read the time. Now that I have done more looking around you can actually just pay 20 something dollars for basically the same product with LaCrosse, therefore I would say this product is overpriced.

The backlit is not a pleasant blue glow but a sickly greenish-yellow; since there is no setting to keep the backlight on, you need to press the snooze button to get it to light up. No problems with clarity there just wish it was right side up. The atomic clock does its thing, mine set itself after 5 min. You might as well shell out a little more for a clock you can really be happy with.

NOT a customer-oriented vendor. I don't advise buying anything from them. Simply put, the projection is worthless: it is small, fuzzy, and unreadable if there is any ambient light. Speaking of ambient, the vendor I bought it from, Ambient Weather, falsely advertised it as providing a bright clear projection, and when I complained they said I would have to pay the shipping both ways, and they would take 2-6 weeks to refund the purchase price. It only encourages marketing of junk products. Again, don't bother buying the clock. In addition, it is built like a piece of junk.
