When Daylight Savings Time occurs, the clock ignores it. My other atomic clocks don't, they adjust promptly. Of course I had the clock long enough before the DST change to dispose of the packaging- this means I cannot return the clock. It gets a signal each night but does not translate into correct time, an ingenious paper weight. Contacted Oregon Scientific which offered several offered solutions - none of which worked. Now I have an atomic clock that will only work correctly some months of the year. Perhaps Oregon Scientific should change its name to Oregon Whatever. Imagine for a moment an radio controlled clock that does not keep time.
It defeats the purpose. Very annoying. As reported elsewhere, this clock makes its own decision as far as when day light saving should start and end. You have to turn off the radio signal by holding the DOWN button for a few seconds. Despite the fact that this information is available in the radio broadcast, the clock thinks it knows better and adjust itself based on the old dates.
Otherwise, a very good product. I tried covering up any places where the sound was coming from and it helped muffle the sound a bit, but is is still very loud. It will WAKE UP the dead. The only problem I have with this clock is that the alarm is too loud.
Difficut to set, not easy to program alams. Have had the item for a little over six months and had both MFG suppied batteries leak all over the place, In conjunction with the Daylight saving not working automatically I would recommend any other travel clock, Oregaon Scientific has lost the edge on this one.
It was an enginering flaw that wasn't stated when I bought the clock. I talked to customer service without any satisfaction. You can't just click off the alarm like the other clock that I have. The clock didn't automatically switch at daylight savings time.
