Over the Hedge Reviews
i do not think little ones will hold to this game long This game is cute with the animals but in some parts it is hard to jump just right. you can not go on if you do not make it.was dark to begin with but got lighter.alot of fighting.
My grandson plays it over and over. For those who enjoyed the movie, the game is a blast. It's a fun game.
My 5 yr old likes this game - has an easy setting she can play on for hours.
This is a fun game to play, especially if you're playing together with someone. If you love the movie, you will love the game. It makes you laugh and even yell at the screen.
There is also an overabundance of weaponry like golf clubs, snowball guns, and more. At first I feared the worst about this game because I thought it was going to suck like most licensed games. Also worth mentioning is how good the voice acting is in this game. Who the hell would figure I that I would actually have fun with this game considering my horrible reviews for games such as The Bible Game and Casper: Spirit Dimensions.
I really enjoyed my experience with this surprisingly good game which somehow managed to get me to like and not pan it scores wise. So if you're looking for a game for your kids this one should have no trouble keeping them entertained, take it from me, a guy who enjoys M-rated games, and if I'm somebody who usually hates kids games but somehow managed to enjoy this game, you have to figure that there is something good about this quirky game. These issues are minor in comparison to the fact that it's a lot of fun to play for both kids and adults. The mini-games you unlock on the way include a golf cart demolition derby, a remote controlled car race, and target practice.
Overall, I have no trouble recommending this game in comparison to kids games that I've panned, because of how nicely assembled it is. The issues that prevent this game from reaching truly great status are it's squirrelly camera, some timed button press sequences, some stupid enemies, and it is much better to play with a friend than by yourself. The missions, enemies, protagonists, and mini-games are a bit over the top but it's a lot of fun.
It is really fun to play with a friend because of all the different missions you get to play through. and it's done by imitators who sound just like the actors from the movie (it's kinda freaky how good they are). There are also a ton of things you can destroy on the game which makes it already more fun.
