Oxo Good Grips Flexible Vegetable Brush

Sometimes it's hard to tell that vegetables ever grew in the earth. Other times, especially with root vegetables, it's very evident and that's when more than a mere rinse is required. This nylon bristle brush fits comfortably in the hand and will scrub dirt away easily.

Carrots and potatoes, beets and broccoli--no matter how round, bumpy, or odd the surface, this brush's flexible body will follow the contours. The nylon bristles are strong and sturdy, dislodging dirt in deep nooks and crannies. The Good Grips line features durable, nonslip flexible handles on every product. Ergonomically designed to fit the palm comfortably and softly, the pressure-absorbing processed rubber handle puts less tension on the hands, while providing an outstanding grip. Made from the same material as dishwasher gaskets are constructed of, the handles are slip-proof, wet or dry, as well as dishwasher-safe. Good Grips products are moderately priced and have won the Tylenol/Arthritis Foundation Design Award. --Laurie Notaro

Oxo Good Grips Flexible Vegetable Brush Reviews

I use this a lot for mushrooms and tomatoes, which are fairly soft to begin with. This brush doesn't do the best job on hard, low-starch, waxy potatoes (small red potato, white fingerling) that you'd use for potato salads, for example. I do feel that the bristles are a bit soft, but that's ok. It's very easy to clean and survives the dishwasher (for 2 months so far at least). However, I like to cook my potatoes with the skin on. It's rigid, but has a slightly rubberized, uniform grip. The ergonomics are great. In most cases, I peel or remove the skin from tubers.

I bet amazon will not publish this review. I am sure I would have been happy with the products, but when amazon can't ship to my correct address then I can't receive them and use them and review them for you. Shame on amazon, rating 0 on scale of 0 to 10. After over one month and with only a rude responce from amazon I still have not received my refund.

If your hands are bigger the brush should still be perfect.

This little brush works wonders.

I'm 6 foot tall and have about average to large hands and the brush is just the right size.

If you are petite and have really small hands you may want to get a brush with a handle.

I had just about given up on cooking potatoes with the skin left on because I couldn't for the life of me seem to get them clean enough to get rid of that nasty dirt flavor.

The brush is large enough to make even big spuds quick work.

When you are cleaning the tater you can see the difference between an uncleaned spot and a clean spot.

Ahhhhh.

I glad I happened across it and got it.

The bristles are stiff enough to take care of business, but not so stiff that they rip up the skins on the vegetables. I have used this vegetable brush for just over a year, and it still looks brand new. The bristles have not bent or fallen out. Best of all, I can pop it into the dishwasher and restore it to germ-free cleanliness. I am very satisfied with this product. Because the bristles are not harsh, I also use the brush on my hands to clean off ground-in dirt or paint. It fits into the hand nicely, and is easy to use.

Just what I've been looking for and the price was right. This is an easy to use product that gets the job done.
