Mine opens very easily when needed. All the functions of the Palm can be used with it in the case. Not sure why so many of these reviews comment that that the Air Case is hard to open unless mine is somehow defective. The Palm 3225WW Air Case for the Z22 Handheld is perfect. This is a must purchase for any one wanting to use the Z22 on the go and likes carry lots of junk in their pockets that normally would damage a PDA. Putting the palm in and taking it out of the protective case is very easy. It protects my Palm from sharp and abrasive items in my pockets and from my Palm getting crushed.
Its a bear to remove the palm, especially if your a woman with nails. Dont bother to spend your money. The small nib type hinge broke off almost immediately and is a bad design. The same thing happened on my old Palm that was of a similar design as part of the device itself. This clear plastic case is a dud.
Also, when the top part of the case is in your way it is easily removable and attachable. This is a hard, clear plastic case that holds the palmZ22 in place (from the bottom) unless you deliberately push the device out of the case from the bottom cover. Great for keeping Palm device from being messed up in a purse, or book bag.
I bought this case when I bought my Z22. The case doesn't allow you to use the screen or the buttons while closed which means the keylock is unnecessary. I've dropped it and placed it in my bag with loose keys and the case has minor scuffing.
The case is simple to open and I've found that with a bit of practice I can open it with one hand and support it while I enter information. At the price it is very cheap peace of mind which can be replaced when needed. The case has done its job well.
I didn't want to scratch up my PDA and so far so good. I'd much rather it on the case than on my PDA. I bought a much more expensive case for my ipod and at the moment I'm not noticing much difference in the quality between the two.
Simple but effective at protecting the Palm Z22. A good product that does its job well.
