I've always been a huge fan of Panasonic when it comes to cordelss phones, they've always been the best. This time around I'm really dissapointed because even with all of the nice features and good looks, there's two things that have completely killed this phone for me.
1- The handsets would constantly lose connection to the base unit making it almost impossible to answer a call while getting the dreaded "check link to base" error message on the screen. I've tried moving the base unit to areas away from wifi and any other potential interferences with no luck.
2- Battery life is a joke. The phone comes with standard AAA Ni-MH 630 mAh which is a nice feature, you can actually replace the batteries with other rechargable AAA battery brands when these die. My problem with this is that the charge on the handsets barely hold, maybe 4-5 hours at the most, that is counting phone idle time.
Based on my personal experience with this unit, I suggest you do not buy it and wait for Panasonic to come out with more solid models of this new DECT 6.0 technology. For now, I'm back to my old reliable 5.2ghz phone.
When it comes to cordless phones, I only baught Panasonic. I had been using panasonic phones for 12 years now. This is the first time i felt so bad. It never worked, always says "No link to base" battery goes from full charge to recharge for 7hrs in minutes.
It is time to look at other brands. Panasonic is out of my mind now.
This phone is great! After being completely dissatisfied with a VTech that I had for several years I finally bought a new phone. I love this one, the night mode feature is great as I have a young son that naps during the day. I can turn off the ringer in that room so he is uninterrupted. I have had no problems, the features are awesome. You can check your voicemail with the handset, it tells you when the line is in use and when you have messages.
I read many reviews online about this phone not being very good and I don't agree. This phone is terrific.
Everthing as advertised-works right out of box. Excelent quality sound. Great features, easy to use. Voice announcement whose calling. Speaker phone and Caller ID works excelent. Delivered on time at sellers extra expense-nice touch.
I'm pretty sure Amazon is selling this phone refurbished because 1) the box came from Amazon Return Center, 2) One of the phone's batteries never charged to capacity and 3) the entire system stopped working after 30 hours-- "no link to base:.
BEWARE DON'T PURCHASE. too bad i threw out the box the first day. now i'm out the money and screwed with a broken phone :(
