These phones are the easiest to set up and to use. They are definitely ***** and I recommend them to anyone in need of a new set of phones. I am extremely pleased and would definitely purchase them again.
I bought this additional handset to pair with the base unit I previously got for my mother's home. Setup was effortless: Just plugged in the expansion charging unit, then synced the handset with the base, and done. Mom says sound quality is flawless, a big improvement over the static-y old cord phone she had in its place. Plus she now has more range on her second floor.
Overall, this model of cordless phone is ideal for seniors like Mom, because the LCD display is relatively large and well-lit, so no struggles to read the caller ID. The keypad keys are a decent size too for easier dialing. Definitely recommended for older people.
When I received the unit, only the base platform worked. None of the handsets received a signal. No problem, it can happen. However the seller did not respond to my email. That is a problem. No service, response = a dealer I don't want to work with. Going through a refund.
I have been partial to Panasonic cordless phones for years. In the past they have been reliable and sturdy with good reception and transmission. This model is a good basic phone with enough features to satisfy my needs. The speaker function works well, number storage is simple, the display is easy to read and the sound quality is good.
I live in a 2 story home and had 2 sets of 3 telephones (kitchen, living room, bath)downstairs and 3 (bed,bath,sitting rooms) upstairs. Not only were the sets not compatible; each phone had to be returned to its specific base. One set was not usuable as a normal extension. And they were CRANKY about dialing and answering. My son gave me a set of base + 4 Panasonic Model KX-TGA641. We ordered the add'l phone thru Amazon, which was delivered promptly. The phones are completely interchangable. They can be replaced on any base. They have an audible caller ID feature. And they WORK everytime! They are easy to program. I did have to read the instructions to figure out how to access the "recived" calls: menu, #, 2,1,3) I love these phones and recommend them highly.
