Panasonic KX-FG6550 2-Line, Plain Paper Fax/Copier with Expandable 5.8 GHz FHSS GigaRange® Cordless Phone System with Digital Answering System Reviews
This machine is more user friendly than the last Panasonic fax machine I used. I was a little disappointed that there were only 50 spaces in the phone book.
They always produce what they promise. Panasonic products hold true to their integrity. Great phone reception, as well as a super clear fax. Couldn't ask for more~
I wanted it to be able to recieve messages, faxes, and be accessable for me to check messages from remote locations. What impressed me the most was that while the instrument does many things, and while the instruction book is quite long, it is so well done that even I, being electronically challanged, was able to set up and program it. I was looking for a device that would act as a phone receptionist for a small business. It does all of that very well and much more.
the phone is good, but, again, does not interact well with VOIP service and cannot indicate when i have voicemail waiting due to the internal answering machine. the print quality on the recieve side i have found to be on the poor side and the auto fax answer switch mode does not work with my VOIP service. just about acceptable for small home office use. the copying is ok. it comes with a rather limited print ribbon/film, so i would suggest getting an extra one if you decide on buying one of these units, and use it to recieve faxes. if you need to send faxes it is ok, the memory seems to get overloaded if you send more than 5-6 pages.
I have to sit and feed the pages in one at a time or it takes 2 or 3 together or jams. I am satisfied, but certainly not thrilled. I am fairly technically apt, but I found the manual to be extremely complex.
Since I am mainly using this machine to send faxes, I have not even bothered to figure out all the complex phone features yet, but have confidence that I will be able to when I need them. I honestly thought it would do a better job. The thing that surprises me is the fax capacity.
This machine is a nice size and shape. I guess it just isn't your big business fax at the office. I thought this machine would handle at least 3-4 clean, wrinkle-free pages at a time, but it does not.
