Panasonic KX-TG6051M 5.8 GHz Expandable Digital Cordless Phone System Reviews
Once I was a lonely telephone/answering machine, living on a shelf in a big warehouse. All in all, I think I can say that she is happy that I'm around. With my 4 voice mail channels (for her various work, private, & volunteer job calls), numerous features, & light-weight handset, I am sure to be a big help to her. She easily set me up in her office, where she was pleased that I take up so little space on her desk, compared with her old model. I didn't know what would happen next, but next thing I knew, my new mistress was smiling as she opened up the package. She is enjoying hearing her calls with my voice enhancement and of course, she'll never have a missed call again. Then one morning someone shipped me to a new place in only three days.
I like the phone and it has all the functions I need but,the volume on the receiver needs to be louder.
My wife has talked for over an hour, and it still shows a full battery. I bought this phone to replace a Motorola that was eating batteries. Call volume is wonderful, battery life as well. Setup was easy, the menu's aren't too intuitive but I've seen worse. It reads the caller id, which is very cool as well, no getting up to find out it's a telemarketer.
I wanted a cordless which was not too expensive. It fits comfortably in my hand. I shopped again, and after looking, I purchased the PANASONIC KX-TG6051M 5.9 GHz cordless for approximately $60. The sound quality is great, and I like being able to adjust the various settings. I am not sure how this cordless does when off the charger for long periods because I don't usually have hour-plus telephone conversations. For those who don't mind doing a little programming, this is a good deal for the price.
The style is also neat. I would caution those of you're looking to purchase a new cordless, to not buy anything under $50. But, I didn't want to invest $150 plus for a replacement. My old cordless was an expensive V-TECK, which worked well for four years.
So far, my PANASONIC has worked well. You might be disappointed. I made a mistake and purchased a cheap NORTHWESTERN BELL, which I had to throw out.
Overall, I've been pleased with this cordless.
I have found Panasonic to be the best brand in cordless phones. My favorite features with this phone are the talking CID and the different musical ring tones. I don't have to pick up the phone and look to see who's calling. My only minor complaint is that it doesn't have memory speed dial feature. It's easy to hear the person on the other end which has not been true with other brands I've had. Otherwise this is a great buy and I'm very happy with it. I am very happy with my purchase. Nothing that I can't live without but it would've made it 5 stars for me if it had this feature.
