Panasonic Dect 6.0 Expandable Titanium Digital Cordless Answering System - 3 Handset System (KX-TG9343T)
Panasonic's KX-TG9343T DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone boasts a talking alarm clock that will tell you when it's time for lunch, and a talking battery alert that will politely tell you when your battery is low, with a reminder. Using text-to-speech technology, the Caller ID information is announced between rings. DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) technology lets you move freely around your home with long range and amazingly clear sound. It also assures greater protection against eavesdropping for all your calls. Operating in the 1.9GHz frequency range, your phone will not conflict with other wireless devices such as computer routers, wireless keyboards, microwave ovens and other common household devices. Store the Caller ID info of any and all unwanted callers into your phone's Call Block list so that you can eliminate future pesky calls. Unwanted callers will receive a busy signal when they call you again. The Light-Up Indicator with Ringer Alert at the base of the antenna will flash quickly to show that you have an incoming call, and it will flash slowly to let you know you have a new message.
With three handsets (one base and two chargers) and the option of adding up to three additional handsets (requires additional purchases) ? all while using only one base and one phone jack ? go ahead and put one in the den, the kitchen, the master bedroom and the living room; so you won't have to make a run for it when the phone rings. Panasonic Dect 6.0 Expandable Titanium Digital Cordless Answering System - 3 Handset System (KX-TG9343T) Reviews
More importantly the unit came with a speakerphone and keypad in the base station - great for those long con-calls when you want to mute the phone and get work done but still listen in. If I had it to do over I would have gotten the 4 headset model - as it is I'm ordering a 4th to add to my collection. Also kudos for Panasonic for using standard Ni-MH AAA batteries. The talking caller ID gets on my nerves, but I can live with it.
Recently I've tried all the GHz there are. Two thumbs up. I hope this will extend the life of the phone system by several years. I have had many, many cordless phones in my time.
It's crystal clear (no interference from my wireless network) and I get great reception wherever I want to use the phone. But either they had interference with my wireless network or the range was so poor I'd loose the signal standing in my doorway. The DECT 6.0 phone is just awesome.
I remember when they came with the telescoping antena. Finally after years of throwing out old phones because the batteries are dead (and the replacement cost is a down payment on a new car) I can just replace the AAA batteries with new Ni-MH and keep on going.
Battery life is very good. The sound quality is top notch and ctystal clear. The range is also better without the interference that we were getting with our wireless access point for our computer system. This cordless set is a big step up from one we bought about 5 years ago.
Voice quality is very good. The TG934x systems have a keypad on the base unit, the TG933x systems do not, so you must pick up the handset to key in a phone number. There are so many software features that I still have not used them all, but the Operating Instructions manual seems very good.
The Panasonic Dect 6.0 phone system works great with Vonage. I selected the version of product with three handsets, but any of the other versions would be just as good.
It has all of the features one expects of an answering system with cordless handsets. I definitely think that the keypad on the base unit is worth the extra money. You can also use the system as an intercom.
I highly recommend this product. The 9343 provides voice announce based on the entry stored in the telephones, not using the caller ID, which the old one did. Performs very well, with better audio quality than the previous version. (Very annoying for calls from cell phones). We had an older version of the Panasonic portable system which had a problem with interference from our WI-FI router. I saw the 9333 at Costco for a low price, but opted for the 9343 because it has a keypad on the base unit.
My previous cordless I could not even take outside my front door and this one has reception all around my yard. Programming and using the features are easy to do. All in all, I'm pleased with my purchase and as usual, Amazon shopping is easy with no problems. No big loss since it buzzed and I could not walk outside the house without it losing reception. I accidentally washed my last cordless phone in the washing machine. So many places you call anymore, you have to go through a series of prompts and enter long strings of numbers (account number and last 4 of your social).
I like the lighted keypad and having the numbers on the base as well as the phone. I picked this set b/c of the other reviews here and on other sites. I've had no interference or buzzing at all. Panasonic has a good reputation for phones overall.
The sound quality is great. I do agree that the voice that announces the caller is hard to understand.for example, "Steve" has to be programmed as "Steeeve" for it to be recognizable. That phone taught me a lot about what I did NOT want.
Sometimes doing that on a handset which you have to pull away from your ear to enter the numbers, I've missed the next set of instructions so one of my criteria in picking a phone this time was to have a base that had the numbers on it so that would not happen. So I did a lot of research before deciding on these.
