Panasonic KX-TG9348T DECT 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System - 2 Handsets Plus 1 Drop & Splash Resistant Handset Reviews
I would have given it 5 stars, but it doesn't give you the time or date when you listen to messages. Other than that, we love it. This is a great phone.
Overall, if you are debating between phones I would go with this one. (sorry telemarketers) It has all the features anyone would need and then some. Great Phone. No interference, no neighbors voices, nothing but the person on the other end. My laptop and printer are both wireless and I have VOIP phone service. I have not had any problems with static. For the record I have owned many other brands of cordless phones and have to say I am happy with Uniden's top of the line phones but I still would reccomend Panasonic over anything else. So here is the verdict.
The menu is very easy to read and navigate through. All these devices sit together on my desk. So I will rave about this DECT and reccomend it to anyone in my wireless situation. When I saw this DECT tecnology that is supposed to be made for all this wireless stuff I thought, Great, no more static. You can back up if you enter into something by mistake. Now about the phone and its features: As always the panasonic is great, it offers everything. The best feature is that you can block calls. I have left it out all weekend in the humidity and it worked fine the moment I dialed a call.
This is a great product. Also, the splash/water resistant handset that came with this model is awsome. I was a little concerned about this newer DECT 6.0 technology. I have never had a problem with Panasonic phones. I have wireless DSL.
The base unit has a small footprint and easy to navigate buttons. I believe that it will break if dropped on a hard tile floor. Many features are customizable, including the ring tones, which can be programed to a specific phone number. It is easy to access the voice mail from the handsets. The plastic is not very forgiving. I have many appliances and a wireless router but there is no static or other problems with the sound.
The intercom is nice to have and easy to use. I have gone through many brands of cordless phones in the last 10 years and this is the best. (note: I have cable phone service) It is easy to change volume of phone calls during a call. The phone handset has a clean, easy to use set of keys and menus.
The talking caller ID is loud and clear. Sound quality is crystal clear. Overall, after using this phone for over a month, I am very pleased. The "Drop & Splash Resistant" feature is not as strong as I had hoped.
One odd complaint: there is no way to turn off the light on the handset when the phone is in the charger; it is pretty bright in a dark bedroom. Also nice is the shared phonebook so adding a number on one handset adds to all others. I have not yet tested the water resistant nature of the phone.
Setting it up was a breeze. We chose this phone because it wouldn't interfere with our wireless in our home, and we've been pleased so far (had it less than a week). Sound quality is good, and it's nice to be able to have an extra handset in a room where there isn't a telephone line installed already. One slight negative: I would like to be able to change the volume on the handset while I'm talking, and it wasn't easy to do mid-call. The features list is nice (even an alarm to wake you up) and changing settings to customize it is relatively easy.
The phone is very clear in its sound quality and reception, no more static. We bought this phone to replace the old phone since the andsets had broken down. We like the splash phone included amng the handsets as we leave one in our kitchen always. So far, so good, about a month now.
