Panasonic Dect 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System - Dual Handset System (KX-TG9372B) Reviews
You can not check caller ID if a hand set is in use. I checked all the reviews and decided on this phone. off the charger with no bars being used.
This is the reason for 4 stars. You will not have it with this phone. The answering machine does not have a number count on your calls until you hit the play messages button and then it tells you how many messages there are.
There are only a few things this phone does not have that I was very used to, but others may not care. I have used this phone by the computer, microwave, other phone lines and no static or interference. My last 2 phones had so much static.
This phone will work well outside, will dial a long distance call from missed call mode, and the battery has lasted 24 hrs.
I was replacing an older Panasonic setup (KX-TG2730S) with extension phones. I am pleased with this phone and this seller. That's all the negative I have to say, but plenty of positive. The VOLUME isn't as loud as the old phone and I liked the louder volume. I would recommend them overall. The unit is smaller, more durable, and uses half as much power as the older system.
Also one of the 6 A/C adapters was bad out of the box, but Panasonic replaced it QUICKLY and easily. In this case, from a total of two sellers, I bought 6 phones. This system also has a much longer ranger. the main system with two phones and then 4 more extension handsets the models are KX-TG9372B and KX-TGA935B.
The new Uniden I had purchased was the DECT also and a lot of times it sounds like I'm talking into a tunnel. Well, this phone has the same sounds so I think it's the new technology they've come up with. But, for those of you wanting to keep up with the Jones', I'd continue to buy the 5.8 technology and not worry about the "improved" DECT 6.0 stuff.I never had problems with the 5.8 and the noise in the 6.0 doesn't make upgrading worth it until the technology is improved. I am an avid Uniden fan (I even ran over my last one and it was all crushed up, but still worked)., but all of the new Unidens have such small buttons that are so close together and I was tired of misdialing so much.
It was one reason I wanted to get rid of my Uniden and thought it was defective. Now, I was not a Panasonic fan after my mom bought two different Panasonics years ago and they didn't work well. I do work in the yard a lot and have left my phones outside in the AZ heat, so this phone might be good for me to have in case I leave it in the rain we get 5 days a year.
But, in this case, the minute I picked it up in the store, the handset felt very comfortable (and not so small that I might inhale it) and durable. I guess I'll get used to it since I'm tired of buying phones.
And other sounds in the phone make it sound like someone is on the other line (but they aren't). This Panasonic has easier keypad numbers to dial from. So, the phone works so far but my issue is with the DECT 6.0 stuff.
I haven't figured out if I can make an adjustment on the phone to clear up the static yet. The range is great and the speakerphone is loud and clear. I love this set and would order again. It occurs with different people on the other end (landline and cell phones), so I know it's coming from my end. It doesn't matter how close or far I am from the base. It arrived quickly and safely packaged - brand new. The reason for the four stars is the occasional static. Otherwise, I love this phone.
They have every feature I wanted except bluetooth in the handset, which I couldn't find in a DECT phone. The features I most wanted were headset jack, speaker phone, lighted keypad, and caller ID, which these phones have. These phones have worked flawlessly. They vastly improved the sound with my Gizmo5 VoIP, which I use with an analog telephone adaptor.
