The Panasonic KX-TGA650B handset is a supplemental accessory for Panasonic's KX-TG6500B-series phone systems (required, sold separately). Operating on the same 5.8 GHz frequency and with the same digital spread spectrum signal technology as the base system, this handset supplies the clear, consistent connection you rely on every day, with features to spare. Access to the 50-station phonebook and caller ID/call waiting (with subscription to local service) is provided via the menu-driven three-line backlit LCD. A light-up antenna visually alerts you to new calls and messages, and you can even check your answering machine's messages from the handset. The handset includes a belt clip and a phone jack for a headset (sold separately) for hands-free conversation, and a locator sound lets you track down the handset even when it's buried in the couch cushions. The vertical design of the charging cradle makes this a perfect addition for bedside tables or small kitchen counters--wherever space is at a premium. This is a good product but it is being offered for THREE TIMES the price that Panasonic charges.
It works great. This handset is the original equipment replacement for my Panasonic 2-line phone system. I just wonder why the handset is so pricey, and why the prices at Amazon vary so much.

The small satellite base doesn't take up a lot of table real estate and is convenient anywhere you have an outlet but no phone jack. I've placed these around my house and find them to be of excellent quality. I've had these phones for several years now and love them. They have a speakerphone in the handset and a mute button on the phone.
Base unit picks up signal all over the house. Easy to set up. Solid performance.
