Panasonic KX-TH1212B Link-to-Cell Expandable Bluetooth-Enabled DECT 6.0 Phone System with 2 Handsets Reviews
I have a Treo 755 and found out it does not work with Palms. Unfortunately the literature did not mention that it does not work with all cell phones. I could receive calls but not call out. I returned it. The concept is great.
I cannot seem to find anything different between the calls that were dropped and those that were not. Buyer be ware - do not buy this product. Very dissapointing. I was excited when I learned about the Panasonic KX-TH1212 that would enable my cell phones with wireless handsets in my home.
Kiss $300 goodbye. still dropping inbound calls. I called Panasonic Customer Service and waited on hold for 45mins and gave up. I now find that I have had the product over 30days and cannot return it for a refund. Our family has two Iphones and I thought this would be a great solution. Oh BTW.
Oh. I had purchased additional handsets as well. I followed the instructions and move the base unit around to different locations in our home.
I also sent an email - nothing back. Then after a couple of weeks, the system started to drop inbound calls. Very frustrating.
Like so many others who have written reviews, it seemed to work fine at first. I found myself running to pickup the Iphone to answer the call because I was afraid the Panasonic system would drop the call. Generally I could place outbound calls without any problems, but in the last week over 80% of the inbound calls were dropped.
Don't hesitate. I recommend this highly. I forget it is connected to the cell. This thing works. Tradesmart.net This is the hottest thing I have purchased all year. It also works great with the Wilson antenna systems and repeater/amplifiers.
Easy to set up. I love it. Tells you if you missed calls too. If you live in the mountains like I do, it will extend the range if you have dead spots. Backlite keys and bright display.
Great idea and many of the reviews I read said the unit kept loosing contact with the base during calls. Maybe an manufacturing issue or just bad design - but don't waste your time on this unit. I tried Panasonic support and they took 3 weeks to get back to me with no help. I tried it anyway and had the same problem - even after moving the unit, resetting the unit, and even going to the store and exchanging the unit.
Often calls come in either through the landline or cell phone and while the phone rings and Caller ID works, all you get when you pick up is a series of beeps. I've had many dropped calls and often find any given handset having no connection to the base unit both when receiving and when trying to make calls. Reliability, however, is very poor. This phone does provide bluetooth connectivity with cell phones and it does provide marginally greater range than other cordless phones I've tried. The technology just isn't there in this product.
